List of Alejandra D. Alvarez Wilson's Reviews
Dr Alvarez was very kind and gentle with me as I faced surgery with her. I was anxious and she helped me be more comfortable. I thought she was wonderful.
Dr. Alvarez is an amazing OBGYN. She has great bedside manor, rarely runs late, and delivers excellent care. She has delivered two of my children and both experiences were excellent. I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a new OBGYN.
Dr. Alvarez Wilson was a fine Gynecologist (I saw her for ten years) but I I was very unhappy with her as my obstetrician. She is very impersonal and at a time that should be the happiest, her poor bedside manner made it hard to look forward to child birth. My appointments were all very rushed. She did not deliver my child as she was not on call but at my 6 week check up she asked “what did you have again?” (My daughter was right next to me). At this same check up I asked for results from a test performed during birth and she said “I am sure it is fine”-ignoring my concern. She Saw me for 7 minutes and left. I have since switched providers.

Dr. Alvarez is extremely honest, helpful and compassionate.
Dr. Alvarez is an amazing OB. She gave me options during my delivery that helped my baby girl arrive safely and healthy. She was always thorough during office visits and was easy to work with when issues during my pregnancy arose. She even takes great care of her patients during the fourth trimester. I ended up with mastitis and she called me at home to ask about my symptoms and which medications I preferred. She’s the best!
Dr. Alvarez came highly recommended to me but unfortunately I was very disappointed in my experience with her. I saw her for an initial wellness exam and to establish care since I plan to get pregnant later this year. She has very poor chairside manner and was very rushy with my appointment. I didn't feel comfortable asking questions because she seemed very judgemental based on things we discussed earlier in the appointment. I also mentioned to her that I had some abdominal pain that had been lingering for a while and I just wanted to be sure it wasn't a hernia before getting pregnant. She told me she would check the area but she never did. Unfortunately I will have to try to find a different doctor to establish care with that shows more interest in giving me advice on my first pregnancy.
I thought she was unprofessional, lacked bedside manner, ignored my pain and concerns.
Unfortunately I had to give her one star to mAke my Post. I was interested in a new doctor and chose Dr Alvarez. My initial visit with her was in January of 2019. Her bedside manners were not great, but anyone can have a bad day. After my exam was over she explained there were concerns with me that did not require immediate attention, but to make an appointment to come back and see her. She stated she would perform an ultrasound on me and based on the results we would discuss options. August of 2019 I chose to go back to her for my ultrasound as Dr Alvarez requested. When she came in the room again her bedside manners were poor. She came in and sat in the chair nearest the door as if I had a disease. She then proceeded to ask me about my cycles and how are they. I explained the same. Dr Alejandra Alvarez then let me know she can not perform an ultrasound on me because she does not know how to read it. I then reminded her she requested I come back to her and she would perform the ultrasound. She then said, “Yes, I do have the machine and I can do it, but because I cannot read it, I would like to refer you out”. She then asked me where would I like to go. I’m sitting there mystified. I took off work at her request, to see her, and she tells me she can’t help me. When I left, I was upset. I called my friend and explained what happed and I specifically said to my fried she better not bill me. Well as fate would have it, I got a bill. I called her office immediately and questioned why would she bill me for a visit she requested and did not fulfill. The nurse called me back after speaking with her and stated Dr Alejandra Alvarez said we discussed options about my situation. I expressed to her nurse how can she discuss options when she had no specifics about my exact condition without the ultrasound. What she did was unethical. She knew she could not or did not want to perform the ultrasound on me and could have given me a referral to see someone when I initially saw her in January. But to have me schedule a visit for her, take off from work, only to have her say I can’t do it, where do you want to go is unacceptable. I would never recommend her.

I called her office to dispute the visit explaining she could have wrote a referral at my initial Visit. She said it stands. I find her unethical and inconsiderate.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
