Alejandra Wilson's Online Review Report Card

I thought she was unprofessional, lacked bedside manner, ignored my pain and concerns.

Unfortunately I had to give her one star to mAke my Post. I was interested in a new doctor and chose Dr Alvarez. My initial visit with her was in January of 2019. Her bedside manners were not great, but anyone can have a bad day. After my exam was over she explained there were concerns with me that did not require immediate attention, but to make an appointment to come back and see her. She stated she would perform an ultrasound on me and based on the results we would discuss options.August of 2019 I chose to go back to her for my ultrasound as Dr Alvarez requested. When she came in the room again her bedside manners were poor. She came in and sat in the chair nearest the door as if I had a disease. She then proceeded to ask me about my cycles and how are they. I explained the same. Dr Alejandra Alvarez then let me know she can not perform an ultrasound on me because she does not know how to read it. I then reminded her she requested I come back to her and she would perform the ultrasound. She then said, “Yes, I do have the machine and I can do it, but because I cannot read it, I would like to refer you out”. She then asked me where would I like to go. I’m sitting there mystified. I took off work at her request, to see her, and she tells me she can’t help me.When I left, I was upset. I called my friend and explained what happed and I specifically said to my fried she better not bill me. Well as fate would have it, I got a bill. I called her office immediately and questioned why would she bill me for a visit she requested and did not fulfill. The nurse called me back after speaking with her and stated Dr Alejandra Alvarez said we discussed options about my situation. I expressed to her nurse how can she discuss options when she had no specifics about my exact condition without the ultrasound.What she did was unethical. She knew she could not or did not want to perform the ultrasound on me and could have given me a referral to see someone when I initially saw her in January. But to have me schedule a visit for her, take off from work, only to have her say I can’t do it, where do you want to go is unacceptable.I would never recommend her.

I called her office to dispute the visit explaining she could have wrote a referral at my initial Visit. She said it stands. I find her unethical and inconsiderate.

I wish I could give her more stars! Ive been seeing her since 2017. She delivered my son and will deliver any more children Im blessed with. She will spend as much time as you need with you and answer any questions you have in a way you will understand. I cant recommend her or this office enough!

I’ve been going to Dr. Alvarez for a while now. She makes me feel comfortable and I fully trust her. She gives you good advice, doesn’t judge, nor forces you to make decisions you don’t want.I am glad I found her and I appreciate being able to have her as my doctor.

Dr. Alvarez is an okay doctor if you don't have a problem. When I presented my concerns to her–breakthrough bleeding while on birth control, an overactive bladder, and firmness around the pelvis (that she noted herself), her recommendation was that I get off the pill and use condoms. After I became disappointed with her poor treatment and problematic recommendations, I saw another doctor who IMMEDIATELY suspected that I have a huge fibroid, which was later confirmed by an ultrasound. I spent years with Dr. Alvarez, never missed an annual wellness exam, and she missed this huge problem. Any doctor in this field should have suspected this prevalent problem, especially after noting all of my symptoms.

I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez-Wilson. She was recommended by a coworker, and I am so glad. She cared for me during and after my pregnancy and delivered my child. She is kind, patient, and professional, and valued my preferences during a difficult delivery. She also had excellent communication. Her office staff is incredible, and the practice runs like a well-oiled machine.

Dr. Alvarez-Wilson is wonderful! She is always calm and caring and truly listens to your needs and concerns. She delivered my 2 baby and I could t be happier with her!

I'm a big fan of Dr. Alvarez-Wilson. She's extraordinarily competent, but also very laid back. I think her laid back nature could come off as being aloof to the more intense patients, but I appreciated it. When I had to get an unplanned c-section, I was extra-happy that she was my doctor. I learned from all of my nurses that she is an excellent surgeon. She did a great job with a tricky operation and sewed me up beautifully! A+ for Dr. Alvarez-Wilson!

She is always discreet and has a warm loving personality. Makes you feel like your old friends. :)
