I would not recommend seeing Dr Lanis after my experience with him. I was seeing Dr Lanis for 3 years and during this time, I lost my fiancé and was grieving my loss. I was doing the best I could to help myself and he prescribed me an antidepressant. I also was seeing a psychologist. After 8 months of losing my fiancé, Dr Lanis tried to put me on a bipolar/schizophrenia medication and told me he thinks I should get another “man friend” in my life. I was so disturbed and upset about this and called the office right after to file a complaint- no one ever called me back. I am 31 years old and I do not suffer from depression or bipolar/schizophrenia, I am simply grieving. Dr Lanis tried to highly medicate me for something I did not or ever have. To me, this says he doesn’t get to know or understand his patients but instead he puts you on medicine that Is not right for you.

Service has gone down hill. It’s months to get an appointment, you wait an hour after your appointment time until you see physician. Can’t get you in or take a phone call if you get sick. Wasn’t like this but like others said, too busy and too much in a rush to be a good primary care doctor/team.

I have been seeing Dr Lanis for years now after a string of bad primary physicians prior, and he is by far the best. Always takes the time to hear out all concerns and diagnosis and treatments are always spot on. He is a personable and friendly as well. I moved from affton to Shiloh, IL and i continue to keep him as my primary doctor despite the longer drive

They should not hire nurses who told you to go to any other urgent care if you need to see doctor Lanis. Which is fine if there's no appointment available for me. But talked with few nurses more than 30 minutes, but finally they told me to go to urgent care. How rude!

Went in for extreme hair loss and my weight was brought up. I put on a bit of weight ever since we lost our home to a fire and living in a camper for 7 months with 3 kids had been stressful. I was told if I was really so stressed I wouldn't have that much time to eat. WHAT A DICK!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lanis for about five months. I have received exceptional help from the nurses and staff, along with Dr. Lanis. I randomly picked Dr. Lanis because it was on my commute home. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff.

Dr. Lanis is a great Doctor. I do feel like he listens to me and is understanding. You don’t find many doctors who are patient with a patient who also has mental health struggles and he is. My last visit he was very helpful and so far no complaints. Thank you!
