Dr. Simmons is amazing! I’ve been seeing her for a few years and highly recommend. She’s honest, personable and helpful.

After 2 miscarriages between 6-8w, I asked Dr Simmons if there was anything that could be done to figure out why. She told me that treatments is usually reserved for women who have had 3 or more and to just try again. I have had one successful pregnancy through a diff OB I seen while Dr Simmons was on maternity leave. He had me take baby aspirin my whole pregnancy(from less than 5w-36w). I found out I was pregnant and reached out to Dr Simmons asking if I should start the baby aspirin again. She replied and told me to start it at 12w. I replied with my concerns. I then received a phone call from Toni (and spoke to her twice). She was very heartless towards my concerns and asking to be seen at 6w and 7 or 8w to see if I had miscarried(I had missed-miscarriages, also know as spontaneous abortion, so I had no symptoms and only found out due to 8w ultrasounds ) she just kept saying that there was nothing they could do anyway. I was then on the hunt for a new doctor. I now have a doctor/and midwife(they work together) that has already seen me three times, done 3 ultrasounds and ran labs on me. I am 8w today. They were able to get some results from my blood work and have started me on medications and supplements that they believe are going to help me to have a successful pregnancy. I would not recommend Dr simmons if you have ANY concerns or complications with pregnancy.

Very rude and insensitive

I like Dr Simmons but she refuses to give me estrogen replacement. Says I should not be going thru menopause even tho everything I read says the opposite. Also my OB in Indiana said the benefits far outweigh the risks for someone of my age and I was on such a low dose but she still refuses. Currently I am miserable, constant dryness, urinary infections, mood swings list goes on and on. I'm going this week for another opinion.

After waiting over an hour I was seen. I understand that there could be a wait to see the doctor. What was appalling was the lack of understanding and care from her. The medical assistant only took my weight and blood pressure as far as vitals. I wanted to be seen to make sure everything was ok to begin family planning. I was told by her in a sing song voice that I was too overweight and too old to get her help in conceiving; also told to lose 25lbs and maybe a fertility clinic might be able to help after shown documentation on diet restrictions. She judged me on my previous health issue without any exam which is a controlled auto immune disease. I am not dumb I know that weight could be an issue; she just focused heavily on it. Left me in tears. Turns out I was pregnant when I saw her and then ended up losing the baby. I feel as though she could have done an exam rather than tell me I was overweight! It is clear she does not know how to deal with someone like me!

I would love to leave negative stars. I went to see Dr. Simmons yesterday to see if there was something wrong with me. I am an older overweight person(age 36) my husband and I are trying to conceive. I thought it was strange that the MA only got my weight and not any other vitals other than my BP which was 126/80ish (which is in normal range). I was told that ethically she could not help me conceive with whatever medicines you can take to help ovulation. She never even tried to do an exam to see if my private area was in working order! She was concerned that my weight and age were a huge factor and proceeded to tell me that I needed to lose weight first. I am aware of my weight and had already started to watch what I was eating and including exercise in my daily routine. She also stated to me that since I already had a teenager at home that my baby needed me to concentrate on him. He is not my husband's biological child. She has no right to tell me who needs my attention! I think I was cordial to her because I was in shock that she had the audacity to focus on my BMI only or so it seemed. I have heard of discriminatory practices concerning larger women but never experienced it before. She also made it seem like most doctors would not help me even after suggesting I lose about 10% of my body weight. I have never cried so much in my life. I hope this review helps others decide on whether or not you want to be told you don't fit the mold to be helped. Let me just say this I understand weight and age are big factors but it has been proved larger women can have healthy babies.

Dr Simmons is amazing and the whole staff is super awesome, as well! Totally helpful, full of information, does not make me feel discouraged! I always leave my appointments feeling very confident in my treatment. Hands down best gynecologist ever!

Hands down the very BEST OBGYN there is! Caring , compassionate , sweet and professional ....I mean the list can go on and on. She delivered my 2 babies as well and was absolutely superb and prompt. I will never go to anyone else. Amazing!

Dr simmons is the best obgyn i have ever had. She is very knowledgeable and caring. she listens to all ur concerns and genuinely cares for her patients. She delivered my twins and did a great job. I highly recommend her.

I absolutely love Dr. Simmons. She listens to the problems you are having, doesn't judge you. Truthfully she saved my life. I recommend Dr. Simmons to every woman who needs a gynecologist.
