I normally keep things to myself but this was the last straw for me .If you are a young mom trust an believe you will not get any respect from Dr.Petit whatsoever her mouth is so disrespectful .I was in labor when I had my issue with her she questioned me where is my child’s father as if it was any of her business saying he probably in jail an mind you it was a nurse in the room she thought maybe i knew Dr.personally but no i didn’t Dr. just kept going on it was very embarrassing i didn’t disrespect her back i responded in a respectful way but the whole time i was in the hospital i felt down depressed and felt like others besides who was in the room heard what she said about me .Am i a young mom yes but i take care of my kids regardless of a man or not but doesn’t mean i should be getting put down while i’m in labor or etc. We as women should be helping an supporting one another this has to END stuff like this makes you not want to come to the hospital altogether.

I didn’t choose to see Dr. Petit, I had the unfortunate luck of her being assigned to me when I found myself 12 days postpartum with retained placenta. I did not deliver at Shore Memorial, rather outside of Philadelphia and my delivery went well. 11 days later after feeling better my husband and I went to Ocean City to stay at his parents house for additional hands and quality time. After a few hours in the ER, I was moved to the maternity ward for additional monitoring. This is when I met Dr Petit. Not only was she not at all sympathetic to the trauma I had experienced as a first time mother, now 12 days PP, in a hospital without my breastfed baby, she proceeded to ask me “does your mother know you came down the shore? I don’t think she’d be very happy about this.” I’m 30 years old and what I do is no ones business but my own - thanks doc. She also proceeded to say she wouldn’t release me unless I agreed to leave NJ and go home right away. If you have a choice, stay away.

Not sure why people complain about Dr.Petit.I found her to be very professional with great sense of humor. MIkhail K. a father of a newborn!
This Dr Petit almost killed me when she delivered my first born. Yanked my placenta out and I had two hemorrhage. She was rushing the nurse and was pushing my belly when I was in labor. When she gave me a clearance and check up so she can discharged me after my D&C surgery due to placenta was left inside me and got my inside infected and I lost lots of blood, she showed no compassion nor aplologized to me. Malpractice was all over her chart!
I am absolutely disgusted by the insensitivity this woman displays towards her patients. Dr. Petit should have her license revoked permanently. She makes her patients wait a week before giving them an ultrasound after a possible miscarriage and then makes them feel even more terrible by criticizing their weight....continuously. She is a terrible example of a professional who is supposed to help women feel their best inside and out during the journey of pregnancy. Shame on you Dr. Petit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
