Not sure if he wants to be a doctor or comedian. Should have left after the long wait and later his bad jokes. When it comes to my health, I really don't think that is a laughing matter. I received poor communication and care from him and his staff. Do yourself a favor, find another renal specialist.

Dr. Ringhofer is very good explaining possible diagnoses in terms that a lay person can understand. He is very thorough, running numerous non-invasive tests to get the most information, but reserving more invasive procedures until absolutely necessary. He listens to me and never makes me feel rushed. He called me personally to provide me with the results of a significant test. He is reassuring and I trust him.

My visits with Dr. Ringhofer have been good. During the first visit, he asked me to describe the symptoms that had brought me to him and listened carefully. He was very patient in explaining the possible diagnoses, and also explained why he wanted to take a cautious approach to the treatment, based on a series of tests to better evaluate my condition. During the first and later visits, I felt that I could talk to him and get honest feedback. He never makes me feel rushed and is reassuring. When the results of a significant test came in, he called me personally. I am very happy with him and recommend him highly. I had to wait a little while in the office, but then I can't complain because he is good about spending time to answer my questions.
