Cecilia Pascual Garrido's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Pascual-Garrido saved my hips, to put it bluntly. After decades of limiting pain and treatment by PT and injections, I was referred to her for surgical options. She did two PAO procedures, one in January and the next the following November, one hip at a time, and now I can walk and live my life pain-free. Rehab was tough, but she was very caring, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the pre-surgical and recovery processes.

If I had to use 1 word to describe Dr. Garrido, it would be “brusque.” I came to her for a second opinion regarding my hip. I already had X-rays and an MRI less than 6 months prior but they required new imaging anyway. Unsurprisingly there was nothing noteworthy on the new images. (I’ve come to expect long wait times for specialists, so don’t be surprised if you’re in the waiting room 2 hours past your appointment time.) I saw a resident first who asked me questions and was very nice. Dr. Garrido swept in some time later and gruffly told me to get in the table to be examined before proclaiming after 90 seconds that I have tendinitis and they will refer me to get a shot. She dashed out the door and the appointment was over before I had the opportunity to ask any questions or determine the cause of my supposed tendinitis. I still haven’t actually received the referral and it’s been over a month.

She treated me with respect and dignity. After taking some new x-rays (the ones done at other orthopedic surgeon offices were taken incorrectly), and reviewing my MRI with me and her resident (who was also wonderful btw), she was able to give me the answers I needed about my hip dysplasia and what my surgical options are. Plus she helped get me enrolled in a research study which is helping me recover from my pain. I might not even need surgery now! Dr. Pascual-Garrido is amazing. She is highly informed about adult hip dysplasia which many doctors outside of Wash U don't seem to grasp. I highly recommend her!!

I would not recommend her. The follow-up to a torn gluteus medius was poor. She saw me at 6 weeks then again at 6 months. I was torn again and had repair done and have already seen 2nd surgeon 3 times within 8 weeks.

She fixed my hip a year ago and I am almost completely without pain now. She is very professional and set my mind at ease with her detailed explanations of the problem and the fix she recommended/performed. I felt very comfortable with her and her abilities. I would highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Dr Cecilia Pascual-Garrido. She is a fantastic surgeon who gave me a best case scenario with my hip. My pain is nearly gone. She was professional at all times and she answered my questions. Appointments werent had to schedule. Her follow up care was responsive. I'm glad to have found such a quality surgeon that gave me such a good result. Now I can get back to life as usual. Thank you Dr! This location is a beautiful office but parking involves a lot of walking which can be tough on some conditions. Consider the office out west.

Canceled surgery at the last minute with no alternatives! She’s not an expert and should not be aphileated with Barnes Hospital
