My knee is permanently damaged from a botched mendiscal surgery. Every appointment I waited over a hour. He never sees anyone after surgery you have to see his practioner Lisa she is a very nice lady but the only thing she could say was your knee is angry and gave me a shot in the incision plus just a exray no mri to make sure everything was ok! It's NOT I can't even hardly walk.
My sister and my mom have been patients for knee issues with Dr. Palmer and he’s been outstanding! I overheard our pre op nurse this morning during intake (Kaleb-who was so sweet) say good morning to him and Dr. Palmer made sure he came over to Kaleb to say good morning and that he appreciated Kaleb and Kaleb’s response to us was “that Dr is so awesome, he’s the best of the best, everyone loves him” that speaks volumes to me as a nurse’s daughter. 💗
I met with Dr. Palmer at Signature Orthopedic to discuss my knee pain. I was very interested in the robotic replacement with reduced recovery time. He thoroughly explained the process and answered all my questions. I was very happy with my decision and feel safe in his care. I’m scheduled for replacement and can’t wait to recover.
Staff was polite and efficient-not distracted. Dr. Palmer’s nurse and the doctor himself spent time with me. Radiology in-house with great techs-got me back in the exam room quickly. I felt Dr. Palmer gave me his full attention and concern, fully explaining everything and making sure my questions were answered.
Very professional and efficient. We discussed options and I feel we came to an option I am comfortable with.Dr. Palmer answered all my questions to my satisfaction.Highly Recommended.Thanks.
I started having pain in my hip at age 24. I have seen several Orthopedic doctors from onset until diagnosis. I was seeing the same surgeon for 7 years to manage pain until I needed surgery. After a very frustrating year of poor disease management, and not being listened to, I made the difficult decision to get a second opinion on what needed to be done for my hip. My only regret is I didn’t find Dr. Palmer sooner. Not only did he understand my hip was not a textbook case, he listened. He knew the disease process and treatment for my condition. He cared about my quality of life and recognized there was an issue that had gone unchecked by my other doctor. He was compassionate, proactive, and did a great job with my surgery. I’m 6 months out from a total hip replacement and pain free. I cannot be more grateful for his skill, and bedside manner. His staff is friendly, promptly responds, and did a great job helping care for me. They all continue to take great care of me.
Dr Palmer and team is one of the best . Worth the drive from Illinois . Very knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate , Excellent in my opinion, highly recommended for knee replacement.
I went to see Dr Palmer for hip bursitis. He listened to me and understood exactly what I wanted. His Physician Assistant, Casey, actually did the injections and she explained everything she was doing. After 20 years of getting these injections, she was the best! Hardly any pain and the results are amazing. Thank you!
During my first visit with Dr. Palmer, he was an hour and a half late to my appointment. During my second visit, he said the MRI wasn't clear as to whether or not my meniscus was torn, but he was 100% sure there was something wrong with it. I asked if it was operable if it wasn't a tear, and he said, "You need to get a second opinion because you're not believing anything I'm telling you." This wasn't true at all! I believed everything he told me. I was just asking a question because surgery is a big deal and I wanted to make sure that if I chose to get surgery, the problem would be fixed regardless of whether it was a tear or not. I thought it was extremely unprofessional of him to answer my question in that manner and tone. I left there feeling like I got reprimanded rather than being given the time & care to answer my questions kindly. I canceled my follow-up appointment with him and am going to find a new doctor. I don't trust him to operate on me if he can't even answer a question.
Greeted right away, seen “before” my appointment time (that never happens)! Everyone was friendly. Doctor Palmer was thorough and concise. Had been referred by family to go to Signature and glad I did!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
