List of Cooperative Home Care's Reviews
Everything and anything is great about them. A Company run first class.
Great company with wonderful staff!
When my father needed home care, I turned to Cooperative Home Care. They walked my dad and I through the process of getting him set up on Medicare as well as getting him qualified for home health services. They were patient with us as we went through the process, answering all of our questions. They did not treat our concerns lightly, instead doing everything they could to assure us.My dad's caregiver was amazing. She made my dad feel important and included in the community again. She listened to his stories, gave him companionship and socialization he had been missing.I am truly grateful for everything Cooperative Home Care did for my dad and would recommend them without hesitation.
This company doesn't care about their employees or care givers. I was with this company for less than a year before I decided to switch. It was hard to reach someone when I needed help, they didn't return my calls in a timely manner, and when they did call it was always to give me an excuse and not a solution to my issue. I would really warn against doing any business with this company.
This company had been in business for over 30 years. They treated my dad like i would treat him, only better. His caregivers arrive with a smile, something I dont always do because Im stressed raising my own kids. They clean him up and dress him. They make him breakfast amd sit and chat with him. They take him shopping and to his doctor appointments. And they pick up his medications and make sure he takes the right ones. All the caregivers have been great and honestly like part of the family. When I think about how they treat him, it brings tears of joy to my eyes. God bless Mitch Waks and the team at Cooperative Home Care. When they turned 30 years old, instead of patting themselves on the back, they went out and did 30 service projects. Oh my god, what a great company. I would recommend them to everyone.
Update to my original review: both of my parents received home care services from Cooperative Home Care in the past year. Until you experience it, you really don't understand the vulnerable and overwhelmed feelings that you can have, when you suddenly need help for an aging loved one. Cooperative provided last-minute Private Services help after discharge home from the hospital, and they also provided Medicare-funded home health care. The caregivers, nurses, and therapists that came into my parents' home and helped them were professional, and also friendly and supportive. I work in home care and I feel like I held everyone to the highest standard - and they exceeded my expectations. I'm very grateful.Original review: I have referred family members and friends to Cooperative Home Care with great confidence. Their employees are sincerely dedicated to helping the individuals they serve. Thank you for the great work that you do!
They treat their great employees horrible!!! They don't take responsibility for their mistakes as a company and the employee pays for it!! Literally with no pay.... Until they decide eventhough you worked already!! Just a horrible experience no one should have to go thru!! Check yourself first and them they will get over if you let them!! Pick a better agency this one is not it....
Caring staff that does whatever they can to bring the best care possible to your loved one's home.
As a former employee, I enjoyed my work with Cooperative Home Care. It is a family owned and operated company so they understand family needs. Every person I managed put their heart into their work. The compassion and empathy shown to clients truly shines through. I have always been proud to say I worked for Cooperative Home Care. They go above and beyond for their clients and families.
I waited 10 months to write this review. I wish I could write a glowing review, but we did not have an overall positive experience. Here’s my story:We engaged Cooperative to care for my 87-year-old mother. Some of her caregivers did a great job. Those that didn’t, however, are memorable because of how bad they were. One woman fell asleep underneath an ironing board (yes an ironing board). Another was a con artist. This woman began to ask my mother for money; when I discovered this, I informed Cooperative. They continued to send her into my mother’s home with this knowledge. Several months later, the woman stopped showing up for work. She was suddenly missing—and so was substantial amount of money. Neither the police nor Cooperative appear to have been able to track this woman down. Worse, though this theft happened over 10 months ago, Cooperative has not repaid a dime of this money to my mother, even though its management has admitted responsibility for their former worker’s actions. All I hear from management is they’re waiting for “insurance.” I will probably have to take the matter to court to get my mother reimbursed.I would only recommend using Cooperative if you have no other options. There have to be better places for vulnerable clients to receive care. Some of their caregivers do a fine job. Those who do not can be beyond the pale. Cooperative appears to lack consistent oversight of its employees. I hope management reads this. You can and should do better for your clients and their families.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
