Called simply to inquire if the New Ballas Road office is accepting new pediatric patients. The receptionist was very rude, answered no, then asked for what type of appointment.. that seems backwards? I simply said “pediatric dentist” and she responded with “well you don’t really come to this office. Your insurance just says it’s in network” I asked how do you know who holds my coverage and she chuckled and said “Well state insurance is who always calls because they give our number out. Those types of appointments aren’t seen here”. I let her know NO ONE gave me their number, I did a simple google search for local dentists. If patients go to a SEPARATE location that information would have sufficed. A nasty, prejudice assumption. How sad that you work in this line of profession, receptionist or not, and have that type of attitude towards whoever reaches out inquiring about services. If that office accepts the insurance, whichever it is, than you should be more than happy to schedule the appointment or you should gather the right information to forward the patient to the proper place. Extremely unprofessional. Openly discriminating without knowing who is on the other end. I will be filing a complaint and forwarding this experience to those that I’m sure would be interested to know this is common practice.

My boys have been going to Dr. Hollander since we moved to the area, and we have nothing but positive experiences. Very happy we have him as a dentist.
