List of David J. Anderson's Reviews
Dr Anderson’s staff has been very quick on responding to any messages regarding my children. I very much appreciate this because the entire staff are very busy at all times. I highly recommend Dr Anderson and his office for the care of your child.
Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else! They have the worst communication of any doctors office I’ve ever been to. The lack of communication between the doctors, staff and patients is appalling. More than once I was told my son did not need an ultrasound before his appointment, and more than once the doctors asked why I didn’t get one at our appointment, resulting in them trying to squeeze me into ultrasound. They would tell me they’d call to follow up, and failed to do that. Once, instead, I got a call from a brace fitting company to make an appointment, after they told me in appointment at Dr. Anderson’s that I wouldn’t need one. I was caught completely off guard, and when I called Dr. Anderson’s staff (via Megan Glover) to try to figure out what was going on they wouldn’t call back. I had to have my pediatrician call to try to gain clarity, and they were unresponsive for several days and rude to her as well. Sadly, that’s not even a full report of all the ways they failed me. I’m shocked they still have a business with how they treat their patients.
Wow! What can I say??? Appt at 2:20pm got there 15 min early. An hour later still waiting. A woman came in 20 min after us was seen and left, still waiting. Turned in x ray to the receptionist upon arrival. Last that took us back ask if we brought x rays. We explained we already have them. 5 min later in the exam room another woman walks in and says “did you bring x rays? I was done at this pliant. We walked out after an hour 15 min and saw no one. What a complete incompetent office.
Dr. Anderson is the best of the best—I simply wish I could give him a 10 star rating!!! He’s smart, talented, kind, and listens. We’ve been patients since 2013 and he NEVER has left us feeling disappointed or a like MRN. He knows us all by name & views us a humans with real emotions. Dr. Anderson shows compassion, empathy and care. Erin is my all time favorite nurse and she is an excellent clinician as well! I couldn’t imagine life without them both caring for our children. Highly recommend without reservation.
Dr. Anderson has performed an MPFL reconstruction on both of my knees. Dr. Anderson is kind, professional, efficient, and honest about procedure risks and benefits, and suggests surgery as a last resort, which I personally appreciate. I was pretty terrified of the first surgery, but he went through step-by-step what he was going to do, and explained it in terms a 16-year-old me could understand. I have zero complaints about either surgery. After the second one I was actually up and moving around the night of, which is apparently not common. (In this one a donor tendon was used. Dr. Anderson suggested this may have a shorter recovery period than a tendon transfer from my hamstring, which was my first). We agreed on a donor tendon on the second procedure because he said he had seen better results using that during the past year since my first, rather than tissue from my thigh. I greatly appreciate that he didn't suggest a donor tendon until he was comfortable with the outcome. That definitely makes him more trustworthy, capable, and professional in my eyes. He usually runs behind with scheduled appointments but honestly what doctor doesn't? It's been 3 years since my second surgery, and my knees aren't perfect (which is to be expected) but I haven't experienced any symptoms I had before my procedures. With regular physical therapy and an appropriate amount of careful exercise, I've healed very well. I would really recommend Dr. Anderson, especially if your child may need a surgery.
Dr. David J Anderson is the most kind, gentle and wonderful doctor and human being I have ever met. All four of my children admire and highly respect Dr. David J Anderson. My children actually get excited when they have an appointment with Dr David J Anderson which is quite different because they do not like going and seeing doctors. As a mom I cannot even begin to thank Dr. David J Anderson enough for what he has done for my children. Dr David J Anderson performed surgery on one of my sons with Autism and has made it possible for him to run and walk like other children. Dr. David J Anderson’s staff is also amazing. If you have a child and especially a special needs child I highly recommend Dr. David J Anderson.
Dr Anderson, was so good to me and my family. I highly recommend him for anyone that needs an orthopedic surgeon. The staff was so kind and sweet.
They staff was super friendly whenever dealing with them and Dr. Anderson seems great, unfortunately it takes months to even get a call back to schedule anything. I would love to give a better review, but honestly our family is at their witts end with trying to get an appointment at this office for our small childs cerebral palsy appointments. Really disheartening from what seems to be a decent office, but IDK. Would just love to not have to call 3-4 times and stress out for a couple months before our child can be seen.
I want to thank the nurse practitioner that was on call for Anderson David J MD last night thru Mercy Hospital St Louis. One of my sons that Dr. Anderson has done several surgeries on fell last night running chasing one of our cats and slipped on a hanger and landed right on his knee cap. I called the exchange after the pain absolutely would not go away and the nurse practitioner was absolutely amazing asking questions about Jordans fall.
Dr. David J Anderson MD is my children's Orthopedic Surgeon. Dr. Anderson has performed double hip surgery for Jordans double hip dysphasia, double achilles lengthening surgery and removed the screws from Jordans hips. Our oldest daughter Kristen Dr. Anderson has her in a back brace for kyphosis. If you are looking for a role model and an Orthopedic Surgeon all in one Dr. Anderson is the person your looking for. Dr. Anderson has inspired Jordan so much over the years Jordan dedicated his book Jumbled Pieces Autism that he wrote on Autism at the age of 11 to his heroDr. David J Anderson MD.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
