Dr. Brown and his staff are nothing short of exceptional. Highly knowledgeable, processional and friendly.
He is an excellent physician who listens to his patients and develops a plan to help, then follows through and monitors the patient as needed.
Great internist, listens to me as a patient Addresses all my concerns. If he does not know the answer, is honest and either looks it up or to a specialist. Patient, caring and strives to treat you as an entire person considering all factors in your life.
Yes, Dr. Brown is thoughtful and caring. I have complete trust in him and his skills. I have been a patient for a number of years. I particularly appreciate his listening skills.
Very thorough doctor. Excellent support staff.
The favorable reviews older than this one are spot on. Dr. Brown does have a caring demeanor, and more importantly, gives me confidence in what he has to say. He saved my life last year by catching something my previous physician had either missed or hidden. As a result, I had a quite successful heart surgery and was cared for by two excellent specialists, a cardiologist and surgeon, both also associated with BJC Health Care. The nay-sayers are entitled to their viewpoints about office operations, but it is not a perfect world.
Dr. Brown has been fantastic over the years however I had a fairly serious health concern and called to make an appointment. The lady on the phone said the soonest she had was the following week at one. I quickly took it and thanked her. In anticipation for my appointment I got blood work done and sent so he could review it prior to my appointment. I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes early to a rude lady claiming to be named Desire. She rudely said I could not possibly have an appointment at one because they weren't seeing patients until 2 and claimed she never received the blood tests I had done (that were sent not once, but twice actually from the urgent care). She said they weren't seeing any patients till 2 that day and yelled that I could wait and see if they could fit me in throughout the day (as she was stuffing food in her mouth). I called the urgent care and confirmed they sent the blood tests to the right fax number. The urgent care nicely and promptly sent he blood work a third time and while I was standing there Desire suddenly was able to get those results (I guess THIRD time is the charm for medical records). She rudely kept sayin I didn't have an appointment and to sit down-it was clearly lunch as I had skipped mine at work to go to my non existent appointment. Desire seemed way more concern with her food than helping me. I explained I was very concerned about my health and I got the blood work done so tit would be ready for my appointment and that I wrote he appointment time and date down correctly. Desire was not helpful at all. She glanced at my results and said "looks fine to me." I asked her to please have the doctor please loin At then and call me to let me know because I couldn't wait to be fitted in as I had to get back to work. She didn't even offer to reschedule!!! Dr. Brown never called me and when I called the office back around close Desire claimed he looked at them and said they were fine. Sorry but it would be a stretch to even consider Desire a nurse. She was beyond rude and not helpful. I spent all afternoon at work looking for a new primary doctor. In a time when I was actually concerned about my health, my primary doc office failed me and did nothing to try and calm me. Dr. Brown was and I'm sure is still a great doctor.....it's just alarming that patients have to deal with Desire first when entering he office. Maybe if you don't go during her "feeding time" she may actually be human and able to her job appropriately. I hateto leave Dr. Brown but I have dealt with too much medical office incompetency.
An awful experience. This office is overbooked, disorganized and run by rude people. I met Dr brown once, and then all my appts were with nurses. I waited up to an hr in waiting rooms, almost passing out having not eaten anything before my blood work and being diabetic. And when i complained I got no apologies but instead was asked to leave.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
