Always a pleasure every 2 years I have my colonoscopy
Excellent experience. Procedure was on time, quick, and efficient.
Fabulous physician and human being. Very inclusive approach to communication with patient and family.
My experience was good. It was a busy environment ("scope day") during the pandemic. I felt respected and prioritized by Dr. Early when she declined to push my appointed time back to accommodate a very loud but very late arrival. Following the scope, Dr. Early came back and explained the results and plan for follow up. She was very cordial to and patient with my spouse, who asked questions already answered for me.?? I honestly hope anyone reading this understands that my visit occurred during what we thought was the worst of the pandemic. Dr. Early had to have been exhausted, yet it wasn't reflected in my treatment whatsoever. I hope her strength prevails and she continues her literally life saving/altering practice.
Dr. Early was brusque and abrupt. She gave the impression that I was wasting her time by having the colonoscopy that my doctor ordered. She asked a few questions which I answered and her responses were sarcastic.
Great Dr. and care.
kathy ellman i love you
I suffer from Crohn's disease and Dr. Early performed Colonoscopy on me in 2011, a month or so after I had emergency surgery to incise and drain a perianal abscess/hospitalization. She was wearing a running outfit and was clearly about to go for a jog when she got "stuck" with performing my annoying procedure! Within earshot of myself, the patient, and everyone else in the surgery prep area, she made rude comments about my procedure, something to the affect of "this better not take long I've got somewhere else to be!" Wow, so I spent the last grueling 24 hours of colonoscopy prep purging my body for this kind of treatment? She was so unabashedly rude and made it abundately clear I was wasting her time I was absolutely floored. Why this group repeatedly shows up as top Docs I will never know, I suppose it's all about research because it sure as heck is not about patient care. DO NOT go to any GI affiliated with Wash U School of Medicine/BJC system. It is nothing but a patient mill!
A resident doctor came in first to get my information. Dr. Early then came in and introduced her self and asked me if I had any questions for her. She acted like I was wasting her time. She did no physical exam and would see me in 3 to 6 months. I was in tears when I left because I had gone to her in the hopes that she could figure out what was wrong with me. But I will never go back to her. It is sad that some doctors really don't care about the patients.
Dayna Early was by far one of the worst specialists I've ever seen. First she says hi, sits down and says what questions do you have for me? Not a good starting question! She was very vague, never once examined my abdomen, acted like she was going out of her way, because she was so bored. She believes since all tests are negative then more than likely it is ibs...wow she really put thought into my diagnosis, I say sarcastically!! I went to her in hopes that she could find out what is really going on with the excruciating pain and bliating of my stomach, but she was very lazy and ho hum about it. My family doctor has done a better job than her, at least they acted like they care about there patients. She says well dice the tests show nothing we'll just have to wait until something shows up..once again wow so much thought and so reassuring Dr. Early! I was in tears before and after I left. Nothing was accomplished....very dissapointed! I hope she doesn't treat all her patients like this!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
