Did hypospadias surgery on 7 month old He was very nice, completed the surgery, kept me informed, allowed me to make decisions in the best interest of my son. He repaired his hypospadias, hooded foreskin, and chordee.

We started meeting with Dr Coplen before our baby was even born, as he was diagnosed with hydronephrosis. He's always been very knowledgeable and reassuring, and we know our baby is in good hands with Dr Coplen.

dr coplen is the worst child doctor I have come across. Beware of this man. Some doctors at one time were good doctors and cared. They get old, burn out and turn to caring about money instead of children. This doctor needs to retire. He lies about how the child will feel after surgery. He will cut you off on every question. His smirk never leaves. They send home no after care instructions. Dr coplen gives no instructions. My son has already seen two more doctors to fix his mistakes. My son will have to sit to go to the bathroom the rest of his life. He once had one stream. He now has 6 streams. He would spray the whole bathroom down if he did not sit. He still bleeds months later, so the original problem he was to fix never got fixed. Dr. Coplen just made it worse. My son will forever look different and not normal down there for the rest of his life. Mutilated is the correct word. Parents need to speak up about these situations. Stay away from this man. He has caused way to much pain and trauma for a 5 year old. His staff kept calling my son a girl?!? They gave him 3 different gamepads to take his mind off of the work on inserting the needle for fluid in his arm but all three had been broken or had dead batteries. Just keep in mind what once may of been a good doctor grows old and no longer likes their job. Working with kids you need to be happy. When you no longer show happiness, it's time to go. Dr. Coplen needs to retire to the golf course. Thats where his mind is. The staff rushedus out so fast my son couldnt even walk, yet I couldnt carry him due to the surgery. No chair was offered. Horrible, traumatizing, and butchering experience! Stay Away! Beware of Dr. Coplen. He no longer works for Gods children but works for money!

Highly recommend. He was able to fix my sons problem in one visit, after I have taken him to another urologist that couldnt fix it for months.

He was great. He made my son and I both feel at ease about the surgery. GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER. exspensive though...wow..hope you have good insurance.

I really enjoy Dr. Coplen and it is hard to ENJOY a Dr. when your son is sick and you are a 1st time parent. Dr. Coplen puts me at ease and is OK with a 2 year old in his office. As he should be being a peds doc, but some are not. So thank you dr. Coplen for being a great doc. His hours for appointments could be better, Mondays (for my area of town) mid day.... It just is your whole morning, but my kid is worth it.
