List of Dr. Ranjan P. Malhotra's Reviews
Initial visit for cataract surgery was very informative, but there was a lot of pressure to upsell lenses. Also a lot of pressure to order prescriptions from their selected pharmacy instead of my own. The surgery itself was well handled. I was always comfortable and kept informed. Dr. M. is chatty during surgery and kept up a running description of what was going on, which I found interesting. I had the surgery yesterday and have experienced no pain. Staff was friendly and caring and even humorous. Jut be aware of the upselling.
I have seen Dr Malhotra and his staff for over 20 years regularly for eye exams/surgeries (cataracts). Good results but I now need to see an ophthalmologist due to an eye issue and the earliest they can get me scheduled is 10 weeks out. I need to be able to count on a my physician to be available when I need him. I am looking for a new doctor.
By far one of the best doctors I see! His bed side manner is wonderful, he is patient and takes the time to explain things making you know that he truly cares.
The best he saw me on an emergency basis and performed emergency surgery........ I was visiting the St. Louis area over the New year holiday from Texas. Did a follow-up with him before returning to Texas. The best bed side manners!!!!
Love the doctor and his thoroughness and explaining in plain terms what is going on with my eyes. But the wait time is consistently bad.
Dr. Malhotra is by far one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He is so knowledgeable and actually listens to you! I had been sick for years, and went to a number of doctors who were unable to recognize or diagnose my condition. Within 5 minutes he diagnosed me, referred me to rheumatoidologist and I was given medicine to put my disease into remission. Great bedside manner! Great staff! He never rushes you and is very thorough. The only downside to that is, you may be in his office most of the day. I very highly recommend him!!
I have a disability and sent in a prescription extension request for Xiidra and I was told I could not receive the prescription and to receive the prescription I would have to come in for a exam. I don’t go out because of Covid and I am shocked that they would not extend my prescription for Xiidra for the year 🤬
Ridiculous wait time. Ridiculous non-essential testing. Ridiculous co-pays for unusual drugs at Juniper Pharmacy. He is getting rich from kick backs and billing the government and insurance company for unneeded testing and procedures. He may be knowledgeable but not worth the wait and hassle plus I don't respect how he milks the system.
They were very professional and I did not have to wait long. All of my questions were answered and treated me with respect. I have been going here for 2 years, and I am very pleased with my service.
My parents were cheated out of 2600.00 by this office. My father is double insured, the secondary insurance picks up all costs after the first insurance pays. He demanded payment for what the 1st insurance would not cover - insisting it would be refunded when the 2nd insurance paid. When the 2nd insurance paid they refused to refund the money. They called my other stupid, told her she had no idea what she was talking about (she is very educated) and refused to pay. I did not find this out until tax time so could not assist them by driving to St. Louis to sit in their office until this was covered. REFUSE to take any more eye surgery business to them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
