Dr. Majerus herself seemed like a highly knowledgeable doctor the one time I saw her, however, her staff and my experience with this office has been absolutely terrible. They told me they "dropped the ball" when I called to find out why my infusion hadn't been scheduled, more than a month after it was ordered, the nurse did not return my call when I called to ask about some serious side effects I had experienced and when I wrote an email requesting to speak to the doctor herself to find out if the next infusion was even safe for me considering the side effects I experienced, I got no response. If I could give zero stars, I would! If you value your health - find somewhere to go besides this office, they clearly do not care about their patients!!

I have a mild blood disorder that need monitoring and Dr. Majerus was very kind and comprehensive. The phlebotomists were fantastic as well!

I was referred to the HTC in St. Louis, MO, from Joplin. I was diagnosed with vWD at age 3, but my current local Hematologist wondered about a platelet disorder. Ultimately, after only one 15 minute visit with her, she stated "she was dodging the bullet" in regards to my bleeding issues, ...despite me being referred so my bleeding disorder could be addressed. She did one extremely basic set of labs- von willebrand screening panel, two platelet functions, cbc, retics. Her solution was to refer me for surgery (kidney stone removal) to a Resident only. Gynecologist referral was not sent to my knowledge. I have had 2 local (joplin) (specialists) physicians that stated they could not do surgery because Humate-P isn't on the hospital formulary and they worry about me bleeding out. The bleeding disorder needed addressed, which was her job, before any surgery was ordered, especially by a resident only. Treating hemophilia patients apparently isn't her concern in my case, just money.

Dr. Majerus was very personable. She answered all of my questions, and even asked my husband if he had questions. I was very impressed with her resident, who came in before she did to take my history. After my appointment, Dr. Majerus called with test results and promptly called in a prescription I needed.
