Eric A Strand's Online Review Report Card

I went to him once and he did spend a lot of time with me, but dismissed all of my reasons for being there. I should have followed up with him months ago because the reasons that I was there haven't gotten better, but would rather lose more time on another doctor's waiting list than spend another minute with this gaslighter.

My situation was a mess. Dr. Strand should’ve sent me to a specialist. Instead, he performed a procedure that made a terrible situation, even worse. I suffered for 3.5 months and Dr. Strand wouldn’t examine me. I ordered my own ultrasound, and I had a cyst that wasn’t reported. I found a specialist on my own and got my health taken care of. If you have any previous conditions, I do not recommend this dr.

This guy (cause I don’t believe he even deserves to be referred to as a “doctor”) shouldn’t even be aloud to treat women in this field. Especially since he is considered to be a specialist in the field and women usually have to go this route when things aren’t exactly running completely normal with their bodies for whatever reason. So women wait the 3 months it takes to get in to see this Eric Strand, with the hope of leaving there with some answers and to see some kind of light at the end of the tunnel with whatever they have been dealing with health wise because he is supposed to be a specialist, right? If that’s your hope ladies, I beg you to wait the 3 months on someone else! I just wish I would have known this prior to waiting 3 months for my appointment and to tell you the truth, I probably could have gone to see a realtor and received the same “expertise” and knowledgeable information. And on top of it, as a person, he’s a non-compassionate jerk.

He makes going to see a male OBGYN a very bad choice and that’s a shame because there really are a lot of exceptional male OBGYN’s out there but Eric Strand is definitely not one of them!

It has taken some time for my fiancé to open up about her visit to Dr. Strand (a stand in for her normal Dr.). She described how she felt as being dismissed, treated less than human, and frankly (she is a nurse and he may not have realized) she felt she was treated with an unconscious bias. She was in pain, had abdominal pain that was causing real life interruption and Mr. Strand decided to give her ibuprofen. Her visit (she has fibroids) was intended to give council on next steps with regards to tests, etc. and the Dr. she felt wanted to move her in and out as quickly as possible disregarding the patients self described information. My feeling after hearing this from my fiancé would be to pass on this doctor if you are a person of color or female, only my feeling/opinion.

Listens to my issues and always takes the time to hear me. Friendly staff. Works in educational role with hospital, so I feel he is very aware of all my treatment options!

Seriously the best OB you will find in Indy! Dr. Strand is helpful, easy-going, incredibly caring, and his experience shows! The entire office staff is so friendly and professional. Questions that I had were answered promptly and I always received call backs the same day. Dr. Strand took time at each appt. to make sure that any questions were answered and that all was going well. None of the rush-rush feeling so common with physicians today! If you are looking for a fantastic OB, he is the doctor for you!!!
