My dad battled cancer for 16 years. Towards the end it had spread to his brain. My dad needed an emergency brain surgery that ended up extended his life for a few months. I am very thankful for Dr. Chen brining my dad back to us, and giving us the extra time. My dad was the most incredible man and deserved so much more out of this life. I want Dr. Chen to know I am thankful and that he did a good thing for a great person.

Dr. Chen saved my mother's life! She had a brain aneurysm, and without his expertise and steady hand, she would not have made it. He walked us through everything from the time she arrived in the ambulance to her surgery and throughout her recovery. He gave us hope in a very scary time.

He did my spinal surgery and was the best ever.i wish I could give more than 5 stars.His bed side Manor was great .He explains everything well.All the staff at Mercy is so nice and willing to help.I feel fortunate to have mercy as my care provider

Dr. Chen is absolutely the best! He describes everything going on and makes sure I understood everything. I know more about the brain than I ever have. His care and compassion is amazing! After he removed most of my tumor and I was in the hospital, nurses and staff learned that he was my surgeon. Everyone spoke so highly of him and said that they would always recommend him first or choose him to perform their surgery. This speaks volumes! I told them all that I already knew he was the best! I prayed for him before I knew him. I prayed when I learned I had a tumor for the right doctors to come and other things for them. I got all the best doctors! Praise God! Thank you Dr.Chen!

I don't know where I would be without Dr. Chen. He is the most honest, caring, professional, knowledgeable doctor I've ever dealt with. I had severe spinal stenosis with myelopathy and several herniated discs in my neck. Dr. Chen operated on me and literally saved my life. He fused my c3 through C7 vertebrae. He kept me from becoming paralyzed and probably worse. I'm a very large person and the risks were high. My life has completely changed. He is now even helping me with losing weight and improving my quality and length of life. He pushes me to do better. Thank you Dr Chen, my new friend for everything you have done. I can never repay you.

Nice doctor and gives you hope. However, my father had brain cancer and he cut out a large tumor. He awoke without any feeling of his left side. Not even months of heavy physical therapy helped. We would have skipped the surgery if we knew this was going to happen, and risks should have been spelled out more instead of talking about all positive past experiences.

He canceled my surgery just five days prior with absolutely no valid justification simply because I asked what the risks were. I wish I never met him. Traumatized me.
