Gena L Napier's Online Review Report Card

I liked Dr. Napier up until the point of this pandemic. I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure back in 2005 after I had my son and I am still taking medication for it twice a day. I asked her to give me a doctor's statement notifying my employer of this and she wouldn't do it. She said that I am stabilized. That might be true but I am still taking medication for it twice a day so I feel like if I was stabilized why am I taking carvedilol twice a day.

I love her,she always been a great doctor for me...I met her though my sister.. never regret having her.

Dr. Napier was recommended to me by a good friend who has had some difficulty getting other doctors to listen to her. Gena Napier does listen, and she knows her stuff. She does not, as some doctors are prone to do, blow off your concerns. I have found her very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. I feel like Dr. Napier is interested in my long-term health and well-being. She’s on my team.

None of the workers including Dr. Gena Napier and Dr. Coby care about their patients. They deprived me from getting my medication on 4.4.19 and the staff blamed me for being very upset as I had every right to. I spoke with a Taryn, Mehgan, Tashonda and Rachelle to no avail. They refused to simply call my medication into the new pharmacy. Thats ALL they had to do. I hate all of them for putting me through this distress.

The front desk staff, physician, and office manager Yolanda are impersonal & lack customer service skills that a physicians office should possess but after my moms visit with Dr Gena Napier I can see why... she leads by example & the level of empathy &compassion shown for her patients has trickled down to the staff. Avoid this place at all cost! They cancel appointments w/o telling the patients & the energy overall is humdrum. Poor representation of medical efficiency.

She is an EXCELLENT doctor! Very informative, direct, and precise. Less wait time in waiting and examine room. I highly recommend her.

I would have to agree with most of the negative reviews. We have been seeing her for at least 5 yrs since we moved to St Louis. I thought it was just me, but after talking to my husband, who is a very nice person and rarely says anything bad, mentioned that she seems kinda wishy-washy and seems not too care all that much about what you are discussing. That also goes for the office staff. My husband was actually told by a referring dr that when he read her notes it appeared she didn't like him!! My husband is likeable, but regardless, for another dr to comment on this proves my point. I honestly don't feel comfortable discussing issues with her. Needless to say we are going somewhere else.

I’ve been going to Dr. Napier for several years and I’ve noticed that if it’s not something simple or obvious she doesn’t like to investigate. She’ll often say “I don’t know” and leave it there. Sometimes, you have to request that things be checked and she’ll ask why even though you just listed a slew of symptoms that would qualify further investigation or more of a conversation. She treats people like they naturally don’t take care of themselves so her recommendations are very generic in nature-recommendations that a generally healthy person would be doing anyway and would not need to consult a doctor for.Her bedside manner is hit or miss and depending on how you are feeling could be perceived as cold and uncaring. However, her behavior is perfectly acceptable if you’re getting a flu shot or there for a regular checkup. I’ve also noticed that she’s not keen on giving referrals to specialists which is what you should do if you don’t want to think critically!

Don't listen to anyone with a negative comment. I've been seeing Dr. Napier for over 10 years. I've never had a single issue with her and she is forthcoming and truthful honest with you as a patient.

I recently had my new patient visit with Dr. Napier. She and her staff (Rhonda in particular), made me feel listened to. I was seen as scheduled, didn't have to wait in my room for the doctor to arrive. Pleasant all around experience.
