List of Gregory J Zipfel's Reviews
Dr. Zipfel did my transsphenodeal pituitary tumor resection a week ago and I could not be more impressed with him and his team. I would recommend him to anyone!
Dr. Zipfel is amazing!
He's fine if you're white, but he's racist and does not treat patients or staff of color like white patients. Stay away.
I waited weeks to get into this neurosurgeon and he completely dismissed my symptoms and I'm also pretty confident he did not even review my medical records before seeing me. It was a huge let down and completely unprofessional.
Dr. Zipfel performed a craniotomy to remove a benign meningioma from my brain in October, 2018. I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise. I admire and respect Dr. Zipfel for taking the time to explain the surgery and to answer all my questions regarding surgery and recovery. I appreciated the time and effort it took to coordinate all my appointments for pre and post surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Gregory Zipfel. He is a very professional and personable doctor.
I was recently a patient of Dr. Zipfel having right sideded bypass surgery (STA-MCA) for revascularization for Moyamoya disease. Moyamoya is a rare cerebrovascular disease In which the internal carotid arteries narrow until they eventually close. The smaller vessels then begin to supply blood flow to compensate for the occluded carotid vessels. This disease can cause migraine heads, seizures and mini strokes. It is unfortunately not diagnosed until the patient has alright had a stroke. It is also common to be misdiagnosed.surgery was on June 14, 2017. I was walking and eating the same night and even trying to be discharged. I experienced very little pain once I was in the ICU. I was released on Friday June 16 2017. Dr. Zipfel is an exceptional neurosurgeon.
excellent care and follow up. he is the best. staff is friendly and helpful. he and his staff get and A+ from me.
Dr. Zipfel performed a craniotomy and clipped two unruptured aneurysms in September 2015. He didn't shave my hair, and he even used sutures to match my hair color. Excellent! He had confidence in what he was doing, and that helped me as well. Very impressed. I'm doing great!
I was flown in the the hospital with a bleeding brain, with his expert knowledge he fixed me with a clamp , sectioned my skull, and I left the hospital ten days later, that was in dec of 2013 , I returned to being a fireman within the 6 month time I was released , today I have no side effects of anything to even let me know there was a problem with my brain thank you..i have sent him several patients that they as well have been very pleased
I would definitely recommend Dr Zipfell. My sister had a brain aneurysms and we flew her to Barnes. Dr Zipfell didn't think she would make it. Her heart had stopped 5 times. With prayers from friends and the work of Dr Zipfell she is still with us today.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
