List of James A. Bartelsmeyer's Reviews
In the maternal/fetal medicine office, I have never seen him. However, he has reviewed my ultra sounds and been on call for the one and only time I've called the on call line. Not only did he act as if I was interrupting him, he lacks any kindness to patients and has treated me as if he has better things to do an dis in a huge hurry. Both in office and over the phone. I'd rather deal with the nurse practitioners they have you see because the doctors are too busy.
Dr. Bartelsmeyer is amazing! He delivered my triplets on May 11, 2016. He showed care and compassion. I was terrified, but he was there to keep reassuring me that my babies would be fine. They are in the NICU, but they're all doing very well!
Office staff is horrible. The receptionist is rude. Sheryl the office manager is lazy and acts like she's constantly annoyed, but if one of the doctors is close by or she's speaking to one of them she puts on a good show. Dr. Bartlesmeyer was my doctor for my most recent baby born last year. We really liked him, but unfortunately I'm switching offices when I get pregnant again and my top requirement for my next Doctor, besides being a good doctor, will be having friendly office staff and nurses. I don't want to dread my every appt because of staff who could careless about being remotely friendly!
I am sure he's a fine Doctor, but I definitely felt like a number at his office. I never spent more than 5 minutes with him on any of my visits. When I lost my twins at almost 20 weeks, I spent 3 days in the hospital. Although I know he was in the building, he never once came to check on me. When I went to his office to go over the autopsy report, I sat in the waiting room for over an hour waiting while I watched pregnant women come and go--he wasn't even in the office.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
