List of John Ellis Vernon's Reviews
Dr Vernon very good them phone Line is a nightmare if I really need him yes I could to er
Loved him. Very direct
Have been seeing Dr Vernon for the past 5 years and it is always been a good experience. He is very patient, helpful and jovial during the visit. He is also prompt with responses to online messages as well.
If I could give zero stars as a review I would. I had a patella fracture, torn meniscus and torn patellar tendon. He took one look at my x-rays &MRIs and said the only thing he could see was the fracture. There were numerous times where I went to go see him and he didn’t even examine my knee but charted and charged the insurance like he had done so. Horrible bedside manner and condescending. If he treats educated, English speaking patients like this, I can’t imagine what he would treat my in laws, who don’t speak English, like. Also, the heavy set male medical assistant who works with the doc should NEVER be allowed to work in a job where he has contact with people. He has the worst attitude and treats you as though you’re trying to fraud the system. The guy asked me once about my pain scale and I told him a seven and he chuckled! I would NOT recommend to anyone, not even my worst enemy.
I recently went to Dr. Ellis for a meniscus injury and he did a FANTASTIC job! He was able to repair my meniscus verse removing it which was what I was hoping for. This is my second surgery with him and while he may be direct, which some may take as rude, but he is a busy doctor who has multiple patients to see every day! Thank you Dr. Ellis and thank you to your staff who while also very busy with multiple doctors in the office still show kindness and professionalism.
Dr Ellis is by far the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered in my life. I went in as a new patient, referred by my Neurologist due to neck and spine pain. I brought the mri of my neck and, after looking at the images, he claimed there was “nothing wrong” and to just go back to the Neurologist. I was referred because there IS bone growing into my nerves affecting my arms and ability to turn my neck. He told me he’s been a doctor for thirty years and I told him I’ve been in this body for 41 and there’s definitely something wrong. I told him he didn’t even let me explain the issues I’m dealing with. I don’t understand how a person like Dr. Ellis is allowed to treat patients. Perhaps it’s time for him to retire. He did not even examine me. He was condescending and I felt violated by the way he treated me. I left in tears. The office manager gave me a card to see a different doctor in a different practice. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent Doctor knows what he talking about!! He explains things to you and the two surgeries I had were excellent. The staff is friendly courteous and prompt.
Wonderful doctor, and a wonderful person! Agree with another person's review, " One of a kind!"
He takes the time to do it right!!
I ve been seeing Dr Vernon since 2004 and I think the world of him. He doesn t bury his face in the charts or computer, he is genuinely interested and concerned about what is going on with ME!! He is just such an awesome doctor and if I don t HAVE TO ever see another doctor, I won t. He is one of a kind!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
