List of Lorinna Shniter's Reviews
She s horrible. Was my family physician for several years and we changed coverage in 2013. She missed a diagnosis that I ve been treated for since I ve left her practice because one of my symptoms was weight gain so she ignored my concerns. Prescribed medications to my siblings for conditions they didn t have. See someone else if you expect to be heard. Cliche doctor who spends years in school for their patients to have to be their own medical professional and advocate.
Dr. Shniter is lacking in communication skills and bedside manners. My mom who is 88 years old has been her patient for 20 years. Dr Shniter is not very detailed when explaining changes in my mom's health or medications. She doesn't explain why she's changing the medications, what the medication is for, what interactions it may have with her other medications, or the response it may have on her health in general. So, when my mom, siblings or I start asking questions for clarification so we can better understand her health and what we should watch for when introducing new medications, she always appears irritated. In the past we have had incidents where my mom has a change in her health upon the introduction of a new medication. When we inform Dr Shniter her response is always, it is not the medication but something else causing the issue. Yet when we stop the medication the symptoms resolve. Most recently during a similar incident, as I am asking questions so that we can better understand, she opens the exam room door while saying, "this is my professional opinion you can leave now" and slams the door behind her. When we got in my car my mom asks me "did you see how she got up in my face? She was like 3 inches from my face. She made me feel sooo intimidated the way she was so close to my face, talking and starring me in my eyes." I did not see this because I was busy writing notes of what the doctor was saying. Who does this to an 88 year old sitting in a wheelchair?
Dr Shniter diagnosed a carotid artery disease and most likely saved me from having a stroke. I am 69 years young, thanks to her thorough examinations and diagnosis. The doctors she has referred have always been excellent. The Mercy group go above and beyond, working together!!
5-stars doctor
She was rude, cut me off, didn’t listen. She was rushed, couldn’t care less about me. Her bedside manners were atrocious. I will only stay in this practice because it’s hard to switch PCP during Covid, and the NP I saw was much more compassionate. Please do not waste time with this provider. I would give less than 1 star if I could. I hope the practice manager at Mercy reads this and intervenes.
This is the worst doctor I’ve ever encountered. When I was 20, I had gained a massive amount of weight in a short period of time (2 months), with no changes to my diet or lifestyle. This was very concerning. She did not run one test, she did not ask me any questions, she simply told me to start counting calories as if I didn’t already explain my diet and lifestyle had not changed and this was very odd for anyone(I had gained 50 lbs in 2 months!) if I had lost that amount of weight, would she have been concerned? She emphasized that I simply needed to diet and brought that upon myself. Come to find out I had a severe hormone imbalance after taking psych meds which led to a diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome. She’s just awful and should not be practicing medicine. She also was prescribing psych meds to my family member for a condition he didn’t have that ultimately worsened his problems.she’s not a psychiatrist, in his case, most doctors would have referred him to a psych
Terrible doctor runs in-and-out of the exam Room just as fast as she can .Doesn't spend more than a few seconds with you at best.
Horrible! All she cares about is her notes. If you complain she says it's nothing serious. Well...mine "nothing serious" turned out to be a fatty liver. Don't do ultra sound at her office, they can't read it.
She is kind and knowledgeable and listens to you. She took time to answer questions and explain things. I will be recommending her to others.
I love having dr Shniter as my primary care physician she is a wonderful dr that cares about her patients a lot...

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
