This guy came in swinging the world on the end of a chain. Arrogant, rude and an hour behind. After asking us to be 15 minutes early. His staff were equally as rude. He was mad that another dr prescribed the hepC cure for me. And yelled at us. See, they get a kickback. He barely answered our questions. Was with us all of 5 minutes. Does he realize that not everyone knows about liver disease? We saw our GP as directed by the hospital and followed his direction. No empathy at all. If you don’t like what comes with this field of work. Then you should step down. Furthermore, you need to go to the gym. Will never go back here. The entire staff need to learn manners and compassion. It’s obvious they are all about the money. NOT their patients. Hearding patients in and out like cattle. Signed a very disappointed patient.

Very condescending, lacks compassion. Made fun of dietary changes I made that helped me, and brushed off symptoms I was experiencing. Treated me like I was malingering, but thankfully, biopsies and past medical records don't lie. Stay away

I know I am alive today because of the care and treatment protocol I received and continue to receive from Dr. Bernstein. I was literally close to death and never would I have guessed I would end up feeling as great as I do today. He knows his stuff; do what he says, like it or not: it worked for me.

I have been seeing Dr. Bernstein for many years and I have all the faith in the world in him. He diagnosed me with PBC and has given me the best treatment. He truly cares for him patients.

Pushed experimental drugs on me, if you refuse, he will refuse you. Makes you sign a wavier or else he will not treat you. These drugs made my condition worse because he gave a wrong diagnosis/outcome of the whole situation. Mercy Hospital backs him no matter what he does. Please, Please, Please don't go to this man.

No way Ii would recommend him. His manner was totally arrogant, and he botched a procedure to install a stomach drain by inserting a g tube instead. I was stuck with this for 6 weeks until scarring allowed it's removal
