This doctor ruined my life. He was suppose to leave my ovaries during my hysterectomy but he took them. He did such a poor job he blunted one ovary leaving me with ovarian remnant syndrome. In my 30's I was thrown into surgical menopause and now live with pain daily from ovarian remnant syndrome

Dr. Powell is an outstanding surgeon. But he is also extremely kind and caring; just a wonderful combination to treat those with a diagnosis of cancer.

I had surgery with him and regret it everyday of my life’s. He was suppose to leave my ovaries but instead took them - slamming me into surgical menopause in my 30’s. Very arrogant and uncompassionate

Dr. Powell is very kind and compassionate, explains everything that is happening in terms you understand, gives you time to ask questions, and stays on top of your healthcare at all times. His office staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend him.

Referral to Dr. Powell was a blessing. The entire experience...from referral to visit was seamless. The office staff very helpful and kind. Dr. Powell’s “bedside manner” is awesome....reassuring....kind...very patient and friendly. I can’t say enough about the experience!

Dr. Powell is the best and only Oncologists i trust to handle my cancer and i highly recommend him and his staff. They show that they care for their patients. They do everything possible to help you and make sure that you understand everything. They go above and beyond to make sure you are cared for and comfortable. Also his nurse cordinator also goes above and beyond to make sure all is well.

I chose Dr. Powell after having seen another surgeon first. The contrast was unmistakable. While the first gave two choices of treatment, I felt lost in making the best decision. While the general diagnosis from Dr. Powell was the same, he explained my identifying situation, was singular in his suggested treatment recommendation, exuded confidence in his ability to execute that treatment plan and was friendly and pleasant in doing so. What’s best, everything he communicated came to pass. I did have to wait a bit from stated appointment times, but nothing unacceptable and let’s face it, there is no wait worthwhile for a doctor who isn’t in demand. I’ll wait a few minutes for the right doctor.

Hmmmm negative reviews are being deleted. Dr. Powell had great reviews when I went to see him for possible ovarian cancer. He performed a hysterectomy and was suppose to leave my ovaries if there was no cancer present. Well there was no cancer present and he took my ovaries anyway without consent, putting me in surgical menopause at 37. His careless actions have ruined my life.
