I was experiencing a lot of depression, ocd, and high anxiety during the start of the pandemic. I staerted out with just therapy and needed to get something to help me or at least get me on the right track. I did a virtual meeting with Dr. Brickel after doing paperwork and it was an awful experience throughout. First off, he never really gave me the attention I needed in which other doctors I go to have. Every time I said something I was given a rude look like I wasn't wanted. HE diagnosed me with ADD or ADHD in which throughout the questionnaire I mentioned anxiety was main cause for symptoms similar to ADHD, but he never seemed to take it into account. It felt like he already had a diagnosis he wanted to give me and just gave it out. HE had presceribed me medicine for ADHD. I knew I didn't have ADHD and two other doctors agreed and basically diagnosed me with what I had thought I had. On top of this, he never once sent in the prescription and left the meeting in a hurry expressing how excited he was for his vacation coming up. I am sure other people have had success with this doctor; however, I have had nothing but horror stories with him. I mean what kind of doctor prescribes something and doesn't send in the prescription even a month after the visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Brickel off and on for over 13 years or more. He is an amazing psychotherapist and truly cares for his patients. He goes way out of his way to call if you need to speak to him before your next appointment. I also want to acknowledge Cody every time I call he is so supportive! He wants me to fill him in and don’t act like I’m a bother like others in the office that sometimes answer. Cody your great love when you answer! I highly recommend Dr Brickel. I am so blessed we crossed paths and connected.

Dr. Brickel has been very caring and supportive. When I first started to see him, my mental health was at the lowest it’s ever been. Dr. Brickel was reassuring and worked with me so I felt comfortable throughout the process. I really appreciate that help that he has provided me this last year.

My Hubby and myself have been seeing Dr.Brickel over 15 years!! He is the best, he is like Family to us, he has changed my life so much, I am much calmer and have learned skills for personality disorder and to be kind to other people.I would write unkind Emails to my Family and he taught me skills and I not wrote one unkind Email in over a year. My hubby is always so happy for our visits. Dr. Brickel has also been very caring about my other ailments and helps us with test I have had and helps us a lot with concerns,I had a very serious Dental issue lasting 6 years he was more caring than the Dentist and Oral Surgeon,he was more educated than the Dentist! He is very professional and well mannered always dressed top notch in Designer clothing we have in common about fashion as I worked in fashion over 30 years, we love his suspenders lol, his office is so comfy. He always gives us more than a hour we are sad when our session is over! We are moving to Englewood Florida and we will fly up to see Dr. Brickel every 3months , he is one of a kind GEM! He also saved my life some years back. We Respect Dr.Brickel with all our heart. I love to make him laugh!!Thank You Dr.Brickel, your the best ever.
