Paul E. Buse's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of Dr. Paul Buse for more than a decade, and am very pleased with him as a doctor. His office staff on the other hand....not so much. My new insurance plan does not include Dr. Buse, but I wanted to continue using his services even if meant paying out of pocket. I left a message with Dr. Buse office on 4/7/21 requesting an out of pocket quote for a colonoscopy. On 4/8/21 someone called from Dr. Buse office to tell me the procedure could be very expensive, and that the procedure starts at $900–$1,200 not including facility fees and several other items. I asked for a ballpark number and was told that information could not be provided. I then asked for just a potential range, and was told that information could not be provided. Instead I was provided a telephone number to Mercy Hospital for a quote. Odd since I have always had my procedures done at Dr. Buse outpatient facility on Manchester road. Dr. Buse is great. The system in which he works is not great. How can someone tell you that they’ll do your procedure, but will not give you a quote, an estimate, or even a price range.

Dr. Buse is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. He listens and genuinely cares about his patients. He is thorough and does a great job explaining everything. His office staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Buse.

Dr. Buse was my doctor in the hospital before I had surgery. He gave me confidence that I was receiving the right treatment and that the surgery would be successful. I appreciated his expertise and his pleasant bedside manner. He gave the direction that was needed, and I am grateful.

Had a couple procedures with Dr. Buse and would highly recommend him. He is very professional but also has a nice bedside manner. Definitely a top notch doctor.

I have gone to Dr. Buse for over 16 years for colonoscopies, coming from high-risk families on both sides. Every time was easy and completely comfortable. The prep process is not enjoyable, but I must say that every time it has been improved and made easier to manage. It is well worth the small discomfort to stay on top of the risk of colon cancer. Paul Buse is professional and compassionate, and he's an excellent gastroenterologist.

Dr buse chose not to see after my post lab results. Saying how busy his practice is. Instead offered me a physician assistant for follow up. My symtoms were the same as ONE year before .I was having pain and acid reflux HAD returned due to failed surgery I wanted to pursue the FASTEST way to solve my issue. I had to find another dr. At mercy. Thank goodness they immediately got to the root if the problem. When I tried to get another dr inBuse staff I was stonewalled I must say I was appalled Michael Bromfman

I would give a no star if I could..The office staff is the most unprofessionaI..impolite..uncaring medical personnel I have ever encountered..especially over the phone..that is if you can even speak with an actual person..if you are seeing Dr.Buse for a routine colonoscopy or anything poop related he's your guy..'I'm a poop doctor'..his words..if not.. forget about it..his brain is stuck on colonoscopy mode..He and his staff upset me so much I left never wanting to step foot inside his office again!!!
