List of Peter Kong Woo Yoon's Reviews
Dr Yoon gave me my life back. He fused L2 L3 L4 L5. I can walk again. I can stand in line at the store again. I am 3 months post op and walking 2 miles a day. I am almost back to normal. I would trust him to do another surgery on my back if i ever need one.
Recently, my friend, 80 years old, started experiencing the inability to raise his left leg to get into the car. His primary care doctor sent him to Dr. Yoon. Dr. Yoon performed surgery and immediately following surgery, he was able to raise his leg on his own. It was astounding! 7+ years ago, Dr. Yoon was called in to perform surgery on a tumor in my son's head... Siteman Cancer Center asked, "Who performed his surgery? It's absolutely amazing how precise the removal of his tumor has been done!" He helped save my son's life. Dr. Yoon is an amazing surgeon. So, those who have reviewed his bedside manners, or that they felt uncomfortable, I say to you this: Surgeons aren't known for their bubbly personalities in the first place. Give me a surgeon who can perform his job with confidence, skill and knowledge for the best outcome possible, and that is who I would chose to see. Personally, Dr. Yoon and his office were professional, helpful and knowledgeable, you could not ask for more than that.
Dr Yoon has already did one neck surgery on me many years back. He told me then that i would eventually need another disc replacement and he was correct. I will be getting another surgery soon by Dr. Yoon and would not choose any other surgeon to work on my neck. I know sometimes he seems like he rushes the appointments, but he tells you how it is and what is wrong and if he can fix it or not. I like his personality for that reason. I recommend him all the time.
Dr Yoon did surgery on my back and it was a success. He doesn't say much but he is a fantastic surgeon!!
Dr. Yoon is brilliant at what he does. He did surgery on my lower back and it was successful. I'll be seeing him again soon for other spinal issues. If you're going there to have a conversation like a primary Doctor does, don't count on it. He specializes in neurological things, not talking a lot about it. He is a professional!!
A little condescending, not concerned with my pain because I didn’t fit his predetermined picture of a surgical candidate. Offered no options other than suggesting I see a chiropractor. He did review my mri with me and explained it, which was great, he just didn’t care enough about my pain to want to help since I didn’t fall into his textbook best practices. Maybe he was having a bad day. At the end of our discussion he left the room dismissively I didn’t know if I was supposed to wait for someone to walk me out or not, so I just left
Not good . He did not listen to me and in two visits did not see problem with T12 . I had to call his office after reading a second xray review that suggested MRI . Result is I have to wear a brace for six months . Would not recommend . Terrible bedside manner. Seeing another doctor in his practice .
Dr Yoon performed ACDF to my c4 and c5. It's been 5 years and I'm still doing well. I am 34 and very happy. Thank you dr yoon.
Went to see Dr. Yoon about my neck, Between C3 thru C7 I have herniated dish from center to left, bone Spurs on C6 & C7 and on top of it apparently cervical lordosis. I have been having problems and pain, a lot. I m supposed to be seeing him about my neck and all he talked about was my back. I m still in pain and looking for different doctor. Maybe it s just a fluke on his part, but I don t want to talk about my back if my neck is the problem.
Dr. Yoon performed a microdiscetomy (L4/L5) one year ago. He said the nerve damage in my right leg may take up to a year to heal. I am now 95% of the way healed regarding my right leg feeling like my left leg. Dr. Yoon is honest, right to the point, and trustworthy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
