I experienced an overall positive consult with Dr. Maamari. He explained his recommendations in detail and, should I ever decide to undergo eyelid surgery, I would trust this kind, patient, intelligent, and knowledgeable physician. I was, however, slightly disappointed by the fact that he seemed to brush off the possibility of trying more conservative treatment options first, before jumping into surgery. Perhaps, his reasons for doing so were valid, but he never really expounded them clearly and explicitly during our consult. In fact, that was the only thing he did not explain to me; i.e., exactly why he declined to try two (potentially less effective but low-risk) non-surgical treatment options first, and then reevaluate whether it would still be necessary for me to run the greater risks associated with the complex surgical procedure that he recommended. I would have preferred a more incremental, conservative approach to my problems, which the doctor casually and summarily dismissed.

I wanted to wait until I was completely healed to post this review. Exactly 4 weeks ago I had an endoscopic brow lift and upper blep with Dr Maamari. I’m in my 40s and on a mission to age well. Botox and filler can only do so much—it was time. I work in the medical field and spent weeks researching the best of the best. I understood how important it was to find plastic surgeon who specializes in eyes. Details matter and I wanted a perfectionist. Fast forward to my initial appointment with Dr. Maamari and I left knowing I’d found the right surgeon. He listened to my concerns and addressed them one by one. My surgery day was flawless. The entire team worked together. Everything ran on schedule and I was home recovering by early afternoon. My follow up visits have also been great. Dr Maamari is not only an excellent surgeon, he’s a nice guy. His office team is also phenomenal. I’m four weeks post op and loving my results. I feel more confident. My eyes feel so much lighter and my brows are (finally) exactly where they should be. If you’re looking for the right ophthalmic plastic surgeon I encourage you to meet with Dr. Maamari. You’ll be so glad you did.
