List of Saad Z. Khan's Reviews
I stopped seeing Dr. Kahn after a couple of years when I started to feel he didn't actually listen to me during my appointments and rushed me out after 15 minutes. He doesn't listen and usually does most of the talking during sessions. I told him I did not think that 3 month checks in were no longer necessary and I wanted to push them out to six months. I now understand why it takes so long to get an appointment with him and why he is always behind on appointments. He probably rushes through 25+ patients a day. His response was to drop me as a patient. My general practitioner will not be prescribing me my meds.
I have been seeing Dr. Khan for about 16 years now. He is one of my favorite doctors! Unlike many Psychiatrists, he doesn't simply push meds and patients out the door. He will spend about 20 minutes on average talking with me about my problems even though I have a therapist. We discuss meds and he takes the time to listen to my feelings about not wanting to take certain meds. He is also ok with herbal supplements if they work for me. His rule of thumb is that everyone has one or two bad days but if they have 3+ and have a mental disorder, then call his office and he is good about getting them in fast; or he will call to follow up with them instead. I strongly recommend Dr. Khan!
Excellent Doctor! I have never waited an hour to go back. Tops 15-20 minutes. He has always been kind to me and listened to me. My appointments have always been 15 minutes long and I appreciate getting in and out. He’s busy and so am I. It works for me. He prescribed for me the medication that works for me! I’m happy to have found him.
No, he talks way more than he listens. Always runs late. Cares about charging you instead of actually caring.
Don’t waste your time with this man. I waited to long to leave. I never write reviews but if I can save someone time and money I thought I should. He is ALWAYS late leaving his clients in waiting room! How many hours during the course of my years of visits with him I couldn’t begin to tell you! He doesn’t really care about his patients he cares about getting his money for visits! I always knew it and wished I hadn’t wasted MY time with him. He charged me for missing a virtual appt. during this time of COVID. I had it marked for the day after it was supposed to be. After ALL the years I sat waiting for him in the waiting room and he would not reverse the charge. I wish I would have trusted my instincts and left earlier.
I have been going to Dr. Khan for 8 years. He is a wonderful doctor. He has helped me immensely and what I really appreciate about him is that he is cautious about prescribing medication. Many psychiatrists that I have been to in the past treated me like a Guinea pig; testing different medications on me and misdiagnosing me... not Dr. Khan. He listens to me and respects my opinion. He also doesn’t just rely on medication but believes in a comprehensive treatment plan that includes counseling. I am so grateful for him and how he has helped me better develop myself.
I appreciated how well Dr. Khan listened and answered questions. However, he always ran an hour late and his office staff were less than helpful on multiple occasions.
Saad Khan destroyed the trust that he had established with my son in one final session. He had the gall to charge him full rate for the 10 minute consult and placed all sorts of doubts in my son's mind by offering a haphazard on-the-way-out-door re-diagnosis. Avoid him.
I would not recommend Dr Khan at all. I was suffering from panic attacks and bad anxiety when I came to him, I was under his care for 5 months and I did not see any improvement on my mental health on the contrary I get worst. He will not listen what I have to say or how I was feeling he was always pushing me out the door . He won't care about you or your mental health. Now I feel much better after seeing a different doctor, within a week with the new dr I started to feel much better .
Had my first appointment with him. Brought in with me a summary of my health issues and he actually read it. Also brought notes from current psychiatrist and he read those too! Impressive, as I need a doctor who will look at the whole situation I am in. He took time to talk with me and explain things. I actually have hope that he will be able to turn things around for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
