Sara M. Ayers's Online Review Report Card

We have been coming to Dr. Ayers and her office for probably 8-9 years with 3 of our kids. I have had nothing but great things to say about the office staff and doctors here. So why 2 stars? Well today we called to make an appt and we came to find out that they switched networks Oct 3rd. Maybe they emailed or mailed a letter that we didn't see but either way, switching networks midyear is awful. We are locked into our health insurance until January 1st as are most people so now we have till the end of the year to cover this gap and find a new doctor. I sure hope they rethink this next time they switch networks. We also asked for some in network referrals and they wouldn't help us. Now we get to find a new doctor and work to transfer our files. This is not a good way to treat those that have supported you for years.

This physician has seen my teenage daughter twice instead of her regular physician, and both times she was very disrespectful to my daughter. My daughter’s takeaway from their interaction was that the doctor didn’t really care to figure out what was going on with her. She did not thoroughly assess her, even when asked specifically by my daughter to look at the affected areas. I feel like it was a complete waste of gas and copay to have had her seen by this doctor. I completely understand not always knowing for sure what a particular rash or pain might be, but I expect my daughter as the patient to be listened to and treated with respect which she was not, either time. All other physicians and nurse practitioners at this pediatric practice have been professional and appropriate in each of our interactions and we have been very satisfied with them, but we will risk not being seen in the future if it means having to see this doctor.

I have felt very disrespected and un-heard by Dr. Ayers on two accounts now. Both times she came into the appointment with a strong opinion "your child does not have XYZ" and spent the rest of the time attempting to convince me that my instincts were wrong rather than gathering more data about the symptoms or spending more than a few seconds on a physical exam. Both times I ending up taking my children to another provider who took the time to examine my child and provided a diagnosis differing Dr. Ayers. I don't claim to be a medical professional, but I do expect the decency to be heard and examined in the appointment. While she was not our PCP but rather the provider available at the time we are planning to leave the practice.

Knowledgeable, great at listening to parents concerns and providing support!

My daughter has seen doctor Ayers since she was a newborn and we have always been very pleased with both suburban pediatrics and the doctor. She is very good with children, friendly, and makes sure that the parents feel comfortable and have time to ask questions. I've never had a problem getting a same-day sick appointment for my daughter and her nurse practitioner in the office Betty Jo is amazing especially with children with asthma!

She is a great docgtor, unfortunately her staff sucks. Predatory billing practices.

AMAZING. We love Dr. Ayers! I don't know what we would have done without her. She never makes you feel silly for asking questions or that your "over reacting". Her staff is just as wonderful.

Dr. Ayers is very good with children. She took her time to explain what she was doing to my children. My children feel at ease with her.

Dr. Ayers is a caring, compassionate doctor. Both of my children adore her and they usually dislike going to the doctor. She takes as much time as needed to answer my questions and concerns. She has never made me feel "stupid" for asking questions. She also personally called me to check up on my son after he was in the hospital. She is a great asset to the medical community.
