Update: 6mos later and still same problems. maybe new office manager will help but it has now been 1.5wks for a standard refill that they declined with no reason or call all to findout b/c an appt needed to be booked 3mos out, to then now 3days later finally got the doctor to approve but then staff sent to pharmacy that was not the one we had requested but also a pharmacy not used in over a year! And of course the staff wanted to tell me the steps on the additional work I needed to do to correct THEIR mistake. 2days my daughter went without meds bc of dr and office staff negligence. Original Review: Have been waiting on ADHD refill for days, not response to Mercy app, speak to office and they said the refill is " NOT a medical necessity" and "will get to the refill request when they can as they are short staffed like everyone else." Confused b/c every time my child meets with the doctor its all about what meds that can be pushed down her throat yet they now call it not a medical necessity and do a routine ADHD that she ahs been on for 6+years.

Dr.Trail has cared for two of my children for many years. He is an excellent practitioner.we are always listened to and never rushed with him. His diagnosis were correct and treatment plans have been spot on. I doubt there's a better child psychiatrist in town and you couldn't pay us to leave him.

Terrible experience. Dr. Trail is dismissive of parent input and will not coordinate care with other providers (beyond suggesting he could give us a copy of his session notes to the parents to share; I was there and have my own notes). Many times he stated he just focused on medicine; basically he likes to work in a silo, I suppose. The office policies are also ridiculous. To have Dr. Trail as a provider, we were forced to switch pediatricians to a Mercy Provider after years of going to the same pediatric practice. When we tried to switch psychiatrists, we were told the office does not do that. What? Mercy is a large health system covered by my insurance and if I have a bad experience with one provider I can't take the initiative to change and find a better fit. Old school provider and policies that are not patient centered.

Awful office staff. Awful doctor. Do NOT recommend. Only gave 1 star just to be able to post this review. Doctor is very condescending, unsympathetic. Go ANYWHERE else but this office.

Terrible! Not sure what kind or perk, bonus, or pay off he gets to push certain meds like Prozac but after repeated visits about changing medication all we got was let's increase, increase, increase the dose every appoinment. Will not speak directly to you on the phone, will only relay messages through office staff. Doesn't care about your child's mental well being but will gladly let you come in for an appointment $$ just so he can feed you more excuses.

We have been with Dr. Trail for over 15yrs. My children were patients when he had his combined med/psych practice. He is great with ADHD along with mental health issues.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. Trying to make an appointment is difficult to make one in a timely manner. I called in June and couldn't get in until April. They called to reschedule because he was going out of town. They called again to reschedule. This is ridiculous! We can't get in and receive the proper care and help that we need. Obviously, his patient overload is too much. He has not provided any help to us since we began seeing him 2 years ago.

I really think Dr. Trails has been a good doctor for my child. He has done a lot of great things for my child. That being said I do not like his office or his staff at all. I wish I could change offices just due to them but I won't put my child through that. Every visit, phone call or anything else I have ever needed from this office has been awful. It's a shame really.

He is very thorough and always helps my daughter. :)

We've seen Dr. Trail for 8 years and think he's the best! He's very nice, caring, and takes the time to answer all my questions. My kids like him and the staff there is so warm and friendly.
