Dr. Shaina Eckhouse has helped me understand the importance of my health and is the reason why I have a better quality of life. I’ve had gastric bypass and have had a rocky road the past couple of years. In my experience she cares about how you feel and checks in on the continuation of your healthy lifestyle. Not only does she check in about the bariatric side of things, but she checks in on her patients mental health moving forward and recommends help based on her patients needs. Her team is also amazing as they devote their work and studies on learning different patients bodies and are actively asking questions. For example, Nurse Kristen is always following up with patients over the phone and giving wonderful information in regards to their health. Dr.Eckhouse also has wonderful medical students who display brilliant knowledge and care for the patients they have. And, I’ve been told by many of the residents and medical students that they learn so much from her! (I’m so sorry I don’t remember the names, I wish I did) Also, Whenever I had complications with my gall bladder surgery Dr.Eckhouse and her team made it their mission to give me the best care possible. Dr.Eckhouse even went as far as to check in on me in the hospital when I was admitted for another issue. Dr.Eckhouse is not only compassionate and understanding but she genuinely pushes for the health of her patients in any means possible. Anytime someone is considering bariatric surgery, I always point them into her and her team’s direction because she genuinely went into this field for the betterment of society. Her devotion, and knowledge is Commendable and she really makes sure that you as a patient understands everything that is going on with your body and your potential surgery’s. It is to the point where I actually look forward to our appointments because of all the things I learn that I can do, and the conversations that we have. This is the most HONEST review I have ever given!

Excellent Surgeon, caring and compassionate to her patient's well being. Highly recommend! I had my surgery with Dr. Eckhouse on the first part of November 2020, she literally saved my life. If you want the best in bariatric surgery look no further. Dr. Eckhouse is the best!

Dr. Eckhouse is not only the coolest doctor on the planet, she also takes a lot of time explaining procedures and options. She really cares about each patient and will not leave the room without answering all of the patients questions. She is simply awesome!

Dr. Eckhouse literally saved my life. If not for her extreme surgical expertise I would have never made it through surgery. She is the best and I will forever be thankful to her.

Dr. Eckhouse is top notch in my book. She was my surgeon for my gastric sleeve this past Feb 2018. She has always spent as much time as needed during my appointments with her and I don't feel rushed or anything during my appointment. She makes you feel like you are the only patient she has that day. She and her staff responds to emails and phone messages promptly. I would recommend Dr. Eckhouse to anyone. She is a 10 out of 10 in my book! Thank you for all you do Dr. Eckhouse.
