Dr Sidharth Puram, Washington University, at Siteman Center for Advanced Medicine in St. Louis ,Missouri, saved my life. He is very personable and spoke to my whole family to discuss diagnosis and procedures to cure my cancer. I was referred from another patient’s relative to Dr Puram. I am so thankful. I had an ultrasound done at an Illinois hospital and nothing was getting done and they were in no hurry. Then I found out about Dr Puram and I drove my disc immediately over to his office. They immediately called me at got me in for ultrasounds,biopsies and surgery. Dr Puram’s whole entire staff is absolutely incredible. I am so thankful and I would refer Dr Sidharth Puram to the entire world! If anyone is in the situation that I was in, I hope you take the opportunity to meet Dr Puram and his staff!! ❤️

I was referred to Dr. Puram for a parotidectomy and I could not have had a better experience or results! From the initial visit I was confident that I had a knowledgeable doctor and I was immediately grateful for his friendly, caring demeanor. Dr. Puram listened to and addressed all of my questions and concerns before surgery, and afterwards he continued to communicate with both me and my wife. He didn't shy away from sharing the entire range of outcomes, but without arrogance he expressed confidence in a positive result and actually over-delivered! Most people cannot tell that I had the surgery. Dr. Puram is an extremely talented surgeon and more importantly his positivity, empathy and communication skills match.

Dr. Puram is a wonderful, caring, compassionate physician. When I was diagnosed with a possible cancer, I was frightened. Many years ago, I had major surgery by Dr, Mark Varvares in St.Louis, who is now the Co Chairman of Otolaryngology Dept at Harvard Medical School in Boston. I contacted him to discuss my current situation, and he referred me to Dr, Puram at Wash U. His high praise, both character and academic knowledge was very reassuring. He would trust Dr. Puram with his family members. Still today they work on studies together from afar. In closing, my cancer surgery was in December of 2020. Dr. Puram has been wonderful, checking me regularly and assuring me that if ever any evidence of it returning, we would address it immediately. Five stars for Dr. Puram is an injustice....the scale should be much higher!

My cancer was found after an emergency visit at another hospital. My primary care Doctor recommended Dr. Puram and I am so thankful. My very first visit put my mind at ease. We discussed the options for my type of cancer and I was very pleased to be included in the decision of how and what the treatment would be. The operation was very successful, the recovery was easy and anytime I had a question I was able to call and get an answer from Dr. Puram through his staff. I was also impressed that after the surgery Dr. Puram took the time to consult with another specialist just to have a second opinion that our future treatment plan made the most sense. Dr. Puram is simply one of the best doctors I've ever had. He has been treating me for oral cancer. He is an incredibly skilled surgeon who takes the time to explain what he will do and listens to what you have to say. He is genuinely concerned that you get the best care. I appreciate Dr. Puram's skill, professionalism and caring nature. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Puram and crew are wonderful from start to finish. His surgical technique and results (in my case) have been wonderful. The radiation oncology group at Barnes is also outstanding. The entire team is ready to deal with any and all problems including throat pain, skin irritation and burn from radiation, swallowing difficulties, coughing etc etc. The other item of major importance is that the entire staff at Barnes Jewish Hospital is the nicest group of people (everyone) that I have encountered in any hospital setting. My father was diagnosed with oral cancer and Dr. Puram came highly recommended by other doctors in our area as being the best in his field. He got my father on the schedule for surgery very quickly after a consultation explaining the procedure. We were so happy with his professionalism, kindness and genuine concern for the best possible outcome for my dad and his quality of life! We would definitely recommend Dr. Puram!!!

After seeing five different professionals I was referred to Dr. Puram. He recognized the seriousness of the situation and scheduled my surgery in a very timely manner. He took time to talk to us and explain what the surgery entailed. He was not arrogant but made us feel like he was very competent and knew what he was doing. He always took time to answer our questions. He is an excellent surgeon and a very caring and compassionate person. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needed a head and neck cancer surgeon.

Dr.Puram was the best choice we have ever made for our throat/neck cancer.His knowledge & explanations were thorough.He had a plan the day we met him!We left with great confidence ,feeling assured by his passion for seeing people cancer free ,that we knew that love came from a personal place in his heart! I've spent a lot of yrs working with physicians on med surg back home and have never seen this much time and thoroughness spent helping us understand this cancer.Dr.Puram represents what every patient searches for .....A doctor who listens and absolutely cares about their outcome for a cancer free life.
