Absolutely terrible experience. My daughter was having difficulty breathing and was hardly eating. We had an outside diagnosis of laryngomalacia but wanted it confirmed and wanted the severity checked because we felt it was affecting her breathing and eating. We were admitted and spent 5 days arguing with the ENT doctors about how she absolutely could not have this because her breathing was not noisy enough and she was not gaining weight but they refused to do a scope to definitively rule it out. After demanding the attending doctor re-consult them 3 times they finally scoped her and guess what? She most certainly has laryngomalacia. I naturally had a doctor from Cardinal Glennon do another scope to confirm the severity because I don’t trust these doctors AT ALL (I have spent 10 years as an employee with BJC and never seen such incompetence) and the doctor at Cardinal Glennon said she could hear my daughter has laryngomalacia without even scoping her. 5 days in the hospital because these doctors are jokes. The nurses are great though!

This place is a total joke! I love how when a child is crying out for help because their home life is horrible they just brush it off, act like the child is crazy and needs meds. They should be ashamed to not even listen to the concerns of a child. Horrible horrible place!

The audiologist department is amazing! They’ve worked us (non-patient, out of towners) in, same day, on two separate vacations, when my kid had hearing aid problems. And they’re friendly, efficient, and solved our issues both times! So glad we vacation in the same city as Children’s Hospital!
