List of Thomas J Bartholet's Reviews
Love Dr Bartholet. He is always encouraging, responsive and does tasks like scheduling when he could pass them along to nurses or admin.
His office staff doesn’t answer their phones nor return messages to schedule appointments.
Very thorough, great listener, so smart and great at explaining the diagnosis findings etc! I had gone to Dr Bonzelet before Bartholet and at first was very sad to say goodbye, but boy did I get lucky to have gotten in as Bartholets patient! Been seeing him for 2 years. Not to mention he’s very easygoing and understanding. I highly recommend him as a primary care physician!
Understandably, seeing the physicians three star rating I was very hesitant and nervous to switch from my old tried and true provider. However, he retired his practice and I was able to get in to see Dr. Bartholet fairly quickly. So, with a hope and a prayer I scheduled my appointment. Everything went like clockwork. I had a 9am appointment that finished by 11 with office visit, X-Ray and labs. I found the physician to be very thorough and patient. He followed up with me on the results and scheduled a follow up. Over all, I can NOT say anything negative about my experience . It was as good as it gets. I give them 5 stars for all aspects. Don’t hesitate to consider him as your provider.
Dr. Bartholet let my prescription expire (without reaching out to me). After 5 days without medication and my pharmacy calling his office unsuccessfully I called him and was told that he denied the renewal until I scheduled a general physical exam. I had told him previously that I will be happy to come in for a visit once the pandemic eases up. Making a medication refill contingent on a general exam (without any indication of a change in my health status) seems to endanger my well-being and seems to be driven by the desire to generate billable hours. There must be better physicians out there.
His office raises non-responsiveness to a high art. His asst will never take calls and if you ask the receptionist to speak to her you have to plead your case to the receptionist. And you can't even leave messages except during business hours -- what sense does that make since they won't take calls? They called in prescriptions wrong twice and when I pointed it out they did not reply.
I called on a Thursday....said I was pretty sure I had an infection. They told me to go to a lab first and they would get the results "some time next week." They couldn't be bothered to check with the lab later on that day or on Friday. I guess they thought that infections can wait 5 or 6 days before they are treated. Just as I thought, I got sicker and sicker. Had to take lots of aspirin to fight the fever. Had to put ice pack on infection to dull the pain. Finally went to an Urgent Care on Sunday morning....thank God for them because my doctor's office was completely unresponsive. By the way I have NEVER called his office and had someone answer the phone. I can't believe I put up with this for 2 years.
I called them and said I had an infection. They said they couldn't do anything about it for 5-6 days. I got sicker. Thank God for Urgent care. NO ONE EVER ACTUALLY ANSWERS THE PHONE here. I have to get a different ddoctor. This guys approach is not for anyone who might actually have an illness.
Had my first appt. w/Dr. Bartholet. He was very professional and very thorough. I would highly recommend him as an internal medicine doctor.
Dr. Bartholet and his staff are fantastic. He is very thorough, appointments run on time. Highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
