There are not enough words in the English language to express the greatness of Dr. Ratts. From the moment my husband and I encountered her, we knew she would be the physician we trusted. She took her time when explaining process and procedures, and she never cut corners; she answered any and every question no matter how insignificant it may have seemed. Dr. Ratts took time to examine us and our history of 2 unexplained losses. She was empathetic, and confident, but never over sold a dream. She was calculated, and never pushed any procedure on us or made us feel pressured. We always felt as if our investment, was her investment. I would recommend Dr. Ratts 100 times out of 100 if you are looking for a thorough, educated, empathetic, competent physician with great bedside manner who wants your success just as much as you do!

Dr. Ratts is AWESOME. Not only did she help us become pregnant, but she performed a flawless fibroid surgery on me.

I found her like a talented politician rather than a responsible physician. She gave a generalized prescription to my wife where one of medicine wasn't for her. She don't have Lots of bitter experience at each steps. I think, it was a big mistake to choose "WashU" for IVF.

She was amazing. She answered any question I had, told her expectations of what I needed to do, went into detail about what the process was and made my husband and I feel completely at ease. She doesn't seem to do a lot of follow up personally, but as she explained, if she shows up its serious. The staff she has surrounded herself with can handle it and I feel more than comfortable with that. I'm please to have had the opportunity to come to her office and get the help that I've needed.

Dr Rats listens more than any doctor we have been to! She treats us with care and patience and thoroughly explains everything that is going to happen and everything that has happened. That way we make an informed decision each step of the way. I would highly recommend her!

Great doctor, straight to the point. She made recommendations that no one else did and we conceived twins on the first round of IVF. She was always late to our appointments, but I have yet to find a doctor that isn't. We are going back to her to try for our third child and we got in for a consult the day after I called to setup. She took time to look at the patient information sheets I filled out before the appointment and thought my issues might be related to a thyroid issue, so her nurse drew blood at the consult. Sure enough, the next day I got a call back from them and my TSH came back high. I would recommend her to anyone looking into IVF.

She spent over an hour talking through everything and making me feel incredibly comfortable. Her staff is amazing and so helpful. Not a fan of students, however it is a teaching hospital. Any time I've called about questions or insurance verification, they have been nothing but outstanding. I would recommend their office to anyone.

Dr. Ratts was amazing. She went above and beyond to help my husband and I to find out what had caused our fertility issues. She gave us the help and the hope of growing our family. I now have a 20 year old son who is an answer to our prayers. Thank you Dr. Ratts.

Don't waste your time or money. Find someone who knows what they are talking about. She incoherently talks in circles and is extremely rude and judgements if you question her practices.

She was knowledgeable in her field, but was not personable and at times even talked down to us. I was very happy with the practice at the office, and would recommend other doctors at WU, but I would not recommend Valerie Ratts to anyone.
