Vinaya Ramakrishnan Sermadevi's Online Review Report Card

I would like to leave a review for the Mercy team at New Ballas Rd with a special mention of Dr. Vinaya Ramakrishnan Sermadevi . My mother-in-law was admitted there in critical condition during the Labor day weekend in 2020. It was that Monday evening when she was rushed in an ambulance and admitted at Mercy. As her health had rapidly deteriorated since that morning, we, her family members were in a state of shock not knowing what was happening. The following days were a nightmare for our entire family. My mother-in-law has been our rock solid pillar of support and to see her crash in front of our own eyes, numbed us all. My father-in-law, a senior citizen himself was the first point of contact for the Mercy team which provided him with frequent and regular updates on my mother-in-law’s health. Thankfully timely tests for Covid was done and confirmed negative. That was our first sign of hope. That week, our entire family was called in to meet the team of doctors treating her. That’s when we met Dr. Vinaya Ramakrishnan Sermadevi. She led the conversation and explained to us clearly and concisely the treatment plan along with some realistic expectations. The empathy and assurance with which she spoke calmed our minds and gave us hope. And true to her word, she delivered. She kept us in the loop at each critical step and continued to be our ray of hope. After three long months, my mother-in-law is back with us at home and improving day by day. Our heartfelt thanks to the Mercy team and Dr. Vinaya Ramakrishnan Sermadevi for saving my mother (in-law)’s life.
