I have been struggling with a extremely debilitating bad back & 3 prior failed surgeries, for the past 4 years. Having been bounced around from one "Great Dr." to another, with zero success', I was truly giving up hope. Upon meeting Dr. Ray, not only did he seem to have a plan in place, after looking at my imaging, he also was quite convinced that there would be a positive outcome, at the end of our new partnership. It is hard to put in words, how blessed I feel, to have been taken in by not only Dr. Ray, but every member of his staff, at every level. This special group of people, helped make a stressful situation as easy as possible. Dr. Ray hit a home run with me, he did what others told me was impossible! I sit here writing this well deserved review, at a desk I couldn't sit at, for years, due to my pain. I feel good again, people say they hear it in my voice, or see it in the way I carry myself. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ray. I had been struggling weakness on my left side since 2021 due to a car accident. My active lifestyle had come to a stop. It was suggested I have a fusion by another surgeon but Dr. Ray said it would limit my mobility & because of my age, I would subsequently have to have more surgeries down the road. He suggested a less invasive approach. I can't say enough good things about this man! Brilliant surgeon. Compassionate. Kind. He takes the time to explains things until you understand everything clearly. He is honest, does not over promise, & gives realistic success rates, therefore managing expectations. I ended up having to have an additional surgery but, went into the 1st knowing no surgery ever came with a 100% guarantee & feeling confident if an additional surgery was needed, he was the surgeon who was going to get me to the finish line. I'd recommend him to anyone. Thanks. Dr. Ray!!! ...&thanks to your awesome staff too!

I live in Naples, Florida and could not get into a neurosurgeon for 4 months. I got Dr. Ray's info from a former patient of his. I was able to secure an appointment within weeks and was in surgery 3 weeks later. He was friendly, informative and took time with me. His staff was very kind and patient. It was worth it to travel from Florida to St. Louis to have Dr. Ray perform my surgery.

I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Ray as my Neuro surgeon. Dr. ray was able to correct a surgery that was previously unsuccessful. He was always positive and explained everything that happened during my stay. I strongly recommend Dr. Ray for all your neurosurgical needs.

Dr. Ray has been my chosen neurosurgeon and has performed both a cervical lower lumbar surgery to correct substantial life altering pains. He is not only an experienced, confident and trusted surgeon but he is also an effective communicator and demonstrates empathy as well. Both surgeries were successful and I am pain free and able to resume normal life activities. Highly recommend him!
