List of William J. Budd's Reviews
Relocating from another metro area, I needed a new primary care physician. I scheduled a wellness physical with him. Dr. Budd was affable. But he had no interest in my medical history, seemed to have an M.O. that was rote and not focused at all on me, and was not at all thorough in his examination. So I found another physician. In his physical the new physician identified the symptoms of possible prostate cancer, simply by doing routine things Dr. Budd had ignored (a DRE and PSA). If you want a doctor to check boxes, he might be your guy. But if you want a doctor to take care of YOU - he's not.
this Dr. William Buds should be called Dud he does not listen or comprehend , he has no understanding or compassion for his patients. just don't care
Dr.Budd does not address anything you come in for. He doesn't listen to the patient. Any suggestions you make he just throws down the drain. He does the absolute minimum when he does do any care. I do not recommend him to anyone. His staff and Himself are very poor.
Horrible experience and careless dr.William. 3 message sent follow up visit and 2 phone calls with promises from staff that he will contact patient, but never happen. Only thing that they are care there is billing. When you don't care about health of your patient you are not should be doing this kind a job.
My experience with Dr Budd was very unpleasant and he does not meet the standards of the profession. On my last visit with Dr. Budd when I asked him a very reasonable question on some diagnostic test, he was not happy with my question and told me "No, you are not going to get the test. If you want test go to Washington University and go now." He basically tried to kick me out of his office when I simply asked about the prospect of a diagnostic test; that is not the behavior or professionalism that a PCP should demonstrate with their patients. Over the years when I have visited Dr. Budd, I have seen a pattern of behaviors. He won't listen or let you speak. When I ask him about my several chronic conditions that I have had for many years (and that are all treated at the Mercy facility) he is not aware of any on my chronic conditions or have the record of them. As for the office staff, I called for straight 2 days to talk about my lab tests and was not able to speak to anyone or have any information on how my lab test looks like.
I now manage the care for my father who is a patient of Dr. Budd. Interacting with his office has been VERY difficult and the customer experience is awful. After having a major health crisis and brain surgery while out of town and being in the hospital for a month in Dayton, OH, we brought my dad home and needed to establish specialists for him. Every time I have called I’ve had to wait on hold for at least 10 minutes to speak with someone. The first neurosurgeon referral refused my dad because his surgery had been too recent. When I called back to ask for another option I was given the name of a surgeon who doesn’t even perform on the brain. I’ve asked for referrals to be faxed to a neurologist to get him established and had to follow up days later when the neurologist hadn’t yet received the referral. I’ve attempted to contact the office via the messaging option on the myMercy website with no response. I was on hold this morning for 10 minutes waiting to speak with someone when I was disconnected. I’ve now been on hold again for 22 minutes waiting to speak to a real person. That’s more than 30 minutes of being on hold!!!

Absolutely awful. Impossible to get scheduled for exams, lack of responsiveness and clearly only there to cash a check. Waste of time and should not be allowed to work
Gave my son the wring medicine and told me my disability was arthritis of the brain. Total idiot.
Awful MD Does not address the issue you came in for. If you sugggest something like labwork that is supposed to be routinely monitored for your prescriptions he will say "maybe next time" like he has to pay for it. After 2 years of him refusing to address the issue I went in for - and misdiagnosing me I found another provider and I can walk again without pain. He is an arrogant little man.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
