Dr. Guss is a very caring doctor who has his patient's best interest at heart. He is very thorough and doesn't mince words on what you need to do to improve your health but also lets you know that it is up to you to follow through with his recommendation. I like that he does not push meds unless he feels it is necessary. I would highly recommend him.

I've been a patient since 2003 and would have given 5 stars before the phone call I made to schedule an appointment. Not sure whom I talked to but the woman needs a lesson in phone etiquette and basic human manners. Not sure if I'll be calling back.

The person above who left a comment on Nov. 18, 2017 must NOT have actually seen Dr. Guss. He is an excellent and caring doctor. He is leaving Mercy/Patients First and moving on to Esse Health, still in Washington, MO. I and my family will be following him!

Dr. Guss is not only very knowledgeable and good at what he does, he is also very caring and has a great sense of humor. After 24 years in St. Louis and several primary care physicians, these past 7 years with Dr. Guss have been amazing!

Dr. Guss has been my favorite doctor to this day! When I moved away from the area, Losing him and his excellent staff was a tough transition for me and when I move back, he will again be my first choice as the physician for myself and family. He was more than just a doctor, he made a positive impact on my life.

Dr. Guss is patient kind and just downright wonderful. You might have to wait a minute or two but he will take all the time needed for your office visit. He is very professional yet compassionate. He tells it like it is, No B.S.

He has never examined my husband in 2 years. My husband will not stop going to him because he knows Dr. Guss will not do a prostate exam! He never has. And besides he gives out all kinds of drugs, like high powered sleeping pills.Bad medicine. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Never touches the patients. Prescribes narcotics to readily. Terrible attitude. Can believe he is practicing medicine in this small town with all these lovely trusting people.
