MIchael S. Korenfeld's Online Review Report Card

This was the most arrogant, rude, non compassionate & disrespectful doctor I have ever encountered in all of my 68 yrs! I really think he did not want me as a patient, which is fine. There are others out there. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy! I felt like I was in the presence of the devil! I chose a new doctor who has also heard unpleasant things about Dr Korenfeld from other patients. He may have great credentials & experience, but it is awful to have been treated this way. It's hard to believe he has been in practice for this long if this is how he treats people, then maybe it's time for him to retire. A little kindness & compassion goes a long way, he had none. My visit was a one and only visit, no treatment just a basic diagnosis.

Rudest doctor ever, he belittled me and did not listen to anything I had to say . He might be a good doctor but his people skills suck

Good doctor? Maybe. Axxhole? Definitely.

You are not allowed to ask any questions when he is doing something. He can NOT talk and doing something at the same time. That is scary and if you talk he has the nerve to Yell at you, how DISRESPECTUL to his patients. Very Sad

The doctors are good. However, billing practices are horrible. I have medical vision plus regular vision insurance. They used my medical insurance even after they found out I had vision insurance. They told me that refraction wasn't covered. I should have realized that they weren't billing my insurance.

Dr. Korenfeld is the standard by which all physicians should perform. Not only is he brilliant, he listens, asks great questions, challenges you as a patient, he cares deeply about his work, saving vision and teaching students. He is at the leading edge of his profession. He saved my fathers eye site (wet macular) by introducing him to new trials, he has performed 3 surgeries for myself and family members. He is so good, my family is flying in from out of state to see him. Thank you Dr. Korenfeld for all you do - you are a tribute to your field and the world is fortunate to have you using your gifts to make lives better and saving vision. All My Best Sarah M.

Well, Dr. Korenfeld's visit was wonderful he explained all the issues of the planned surgery. He explained how the process needed to occur to the administrative staff and we needed to do them in consecutive weeks. He was adamant with this direction I was given a phone number to call the next day to work out the dates. As an aside, while my husband overheard the way the staff treated patients. It was mean, dismissive, and, as soon as the patient left the staff bad-mouthed the patient's as stupid. I say that now so you understand how awful the next steps became. No, I couldn't do the surgery as the doctor's ordered unless I signed a waiver absolving them of any liability. No, the lens the Doctor told you about won't be the ones we use. Yes, the costs for the procedure would be is $X, unless it is $Y or perhaps $Z, you understand right? Mean spirited, arrogant, misleading, and contrary to the Dr's recommendations. Good luck, you will need it.

VERY rude and hateful! Screams at patients and makes you feel horrible about wasting his time to "see" you. And dont even dream of picking out frames to your liking. The woman who does that gives you 3-5 prs of frames, and that is what you have to choose from. He is just using his patients as lab experiments. Will NEVER go back nor recommend!!!

Condescending. No empathy. Money grabber by performing unnecessary procedures.My 84 yr old mother had a surgery scheduled because dr. Korenfeld told her she would go blind without it. When the scheduled day came her nervousness couldn't bring herself to do it. She had a follow up 2 weeks later. He checked her eyes and told her the surgery worked because the pressure in her glaucoma eye was down... even though she didn't have the surgery! Ha! Also, have had experiences myself that were questionable. Even though he was affiliated with my insurance, I decided to go with an ophthalmology specialist on my provider list who is a further distance from me. New provider is professional and has a bedside manner.

One of the worst doctors I've ever been to. As with the other reviewer, he hollered at me and wouldn't even listen to my concerns. He was extremely rude and condescending. First and last visit to this guy.
