He is a wonderful doctor he explained what was going on with my shoulders and what needed to be do and how he was going to do them he took time to show me everything about what was going on and after they was done he several times checking up on me they were done five years apart I would recommend he to anyone that is having problems with there shoulders

This is by far the worst experience I have had with a physician, nurse practitioner, and office staff. For starters I only saw Dr. Black twice out of the five times I went to this office. And the first time he had no interest in treating my knee or shoulder pain because in his words “I had only been hurting for a month.” So he let me hurt for 6 more weeks until he finally ordered me a steroid injection for my shoulder. The nurse practitioner who at first seemed helpful gave me a gel injection in my knee for pain. After I had an adverse reaction to this medicine, the nurse practitioner was reluctant to do anything for me. No one would return my calls, and I had to drag myself to their office and beg for help before anyone would do anything. Because of this gel treatment and thus reaction I was out of work for 3 weeks, in pain 24/7, had to go to the ER, and now walking with a cane when before I had been physically independent. The office staff only passes around messages that either never get read or delivered because no one follows up on them. I can’t believe the lack of empathy this group has. I guess they are so use to seeing people in pain it no longer phases them. Will never return or recommend this group/office.

Bedside communication was not up to par. I had a reverse rotator cup surgery and now I can’t lift my arm. Any help would be appreciated including a great lawyer.

Dr. Black was very direct, which I like. Unfortunately he did a terrible job on my surgery leaving me with a massive hole in my upper arm, limited use of digits 1-4 in both hands and no movement in digits 1 & 2 in my right hand. His line was I did something wrong - which I vehemently denied. Then he accepted responsibility stating "I will take the heat for your arm" and "about 10% of these procedures fail". Had he told me part two when I first went to him I would have chosen a different surgeon. On my six week follow up visit I tried to discuss these issues with him but he walked out of the examination room leaving me with a nurse.

My experience with Dr. Black has been phenomenal. I can't speak highly enough of his treatment. My ACL surgical experience was as good as can be expected for such things but my results and recovery have surpassed anything I could have hoped for. Very glad I found Dr. Black.

Great experience with Dr. Black, NP Kelly and entire staff. I highly recommend the entire program. PWD in Bay St. Louis I would recommend Memorial provide more handicapped parking; I had to limp in from the back 40 on my painful knee for which I was there for treatment.

My visit with Dr Black went very well. He took the time to explain my options and we discussed the procedure he recommended in depth. I will be going in for a total shoulder replacement and I am expecting great results. He treated me as a person and not a number during my visit and made sure he answered all of my questions. I cannot understand why someone would give him a bad rating.

Efficient, knowledgeable and explains exactly what he is going to do. He is no nonsense and direct. Personally I really like that approach. His office is well staffed and it runs with efficiency demonstrating warmth and caring.
