Craig D. Berteau's Online Review Report Card

Several months ago we made an appointment to see this Dr. His office then called and canceled our appt. stating he had a death in the family.They finally called back with an appt. in the new year, in January. Now, as we have confirmed with the Dr. we'd be there tomorrow on Wednesday as of yesterday...you guessed it!! They just called and said he "unexpectedly" had to be out of the office. My mother has severe back pain, and he has wasted so much of our valuable time with no help in sight!!! I wish I had read the other reviews first. Most have the same opinion.

"Dr." Berteau is a bully. He takes pride in seeing just how hateful he can be. He is an ego maniac, and has the God complex big time. I have no idea how he thinks so highly of himself. He desperately needs major counseling. The four times I saw him he was so mean to me that I left his office crying every time. He is a pitiful excuse for a human being. I am just thankful I finally realized that I do not deserve to be treated so harshly, and will never grace his doorway again.

The WORST excuse for a doctor that I have ever been to. Maybe that's why he had to leave McComb and go to another city.

My experience with Dr Berteau was excellent! He truly is a gifted physician and I am grateful that he is very experienced and knowledgeable. I will continue to seek his skill and compassion as a patient. Brookhaven is most fortunate to have him and his staff. Willam Smith , Mississippi

Very kind and polite office staff and nurses. And Dr. Berteau was pleasant and thorough. My husband and I both felt like I was well taken care of

He spends all the time needed to address any issue I might have.

The staff is by far the worst. There is a few there that don’t care about the severity of an illness. I would give 0 stars if it was possible. They don’t care if you are close to death. THEY WILL NOT HELP. If you have an Insurance issues, you might as well just cancel ever coming back. Its sad.

Extremely rude staff and unprofessional care. My dad went here for help dealing with a bulging disk and they literally told him to take Tylenol and they would see him back on November 14. Well today is the 14th and we have just went through surgery where the doctors in Flowood told us he had bad bone spurs, which did not show on the MRI because Brookhavendid not do enough images on MRI and insurance would not cover to do another one. The bulging disk was much worse than they expected and they removed it and the bone spurs. We do not recommend!!

He is not in the office much making it difficult to obtain an appointment. He shares office space with so many other doctors and that makes it difficult finding a place to sit. The staff is actually those that are in their for the other doctors in that office.. They actually work in the family practice specialty, doesn't even have his own,nurse. Wait time depends on how many seeing other doctors in that office. I do not trust him. He does not listen or spend time with you

Extremely rude staff and unprofessional care from Dr. Berteau. Unbelievable arrogant attitude and unwillingness to take time for patient care. I called from out of town to participate in my 91 year old mother's appointment and Dr. Berteau said that he didn't have time to talk to me (after my mother and her caretaker waited for an hour and a half for the appointment) Then the nurse hung up on me. His feedback for my mother's health was so specialized because he only knows about certain parts of the body--not the whole person. I am very disappointed in the level of attention and concern that this doctor has for his patients. I would NEVER recommend him to anyone.
