Wonderful and very knowledgeable Dr, can't imagine anything other than 5 stars for Dr Flannery.
Dr Flannery saved my mom's life about 4 years ago as he was making rounds for a doc on vacay...my mother was very sick and no one seemed to care until he stepped in...we have now been seeing him for the last four years and I have never had a doctor who listened and tried to fix the problem...he's the BEST in my opinion...his staff is great and they have NEVER refused to see us but made a point to work us in
He has been my Doctor for many years.....he has always shown compassion and the utmost respect for his patients....if he can't pin point the problem he will send you somewhere that can....
Dr. Flannery is one of the smartest doctors I have ever known. I had the privilege of filling prescriptions for his patients in Iuka, MS. for 19 years. A pharmacist can discern a great deal from a doctor over 19 years! If he can't fix it, he'll get you to somebody who will. Iuka was fortunate to have such a physician. My father-in-law had a problem that plagued him for years. Dr. Flannery found the problem and fixed it.
Love Dr.Flannery he really cares about his patients and has treated me since I was a child..
Best Doctor in the business.
Dr Flannery had been my families doctor for over 25 years. My mother had been very sick on and off for the past 5 years. Dr Flannery has all her medical history. My mother became ill last week and went in to his office for a visit, they told her she needed iv fluids and they could do them in the office. She got the fluids and went home. She was still feeling ill two days later and went to the Iuka hospital er, where they admitted her. She was then seen by the doctor on call at the hospital. She was released and sent home. She was still feeling ill several days later and called dr Flannery office for an appointment. THEY told her that he could never see her as a patient again because she went to the Iuka hospital and let another doctor treat her!!!!!!!!
Dr.Flannery has been my doctors ever since I was five years old and had my first seizure. I think the world of him. He is a great doctor I've always trusted him with my medical problems and always will. He listens to you and yes you do have a long waiting time. But it is worth it if you want a great doctor like Dr. Flannery who cares about his patients. I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Flannery was a doctor my family used for many years. We always trusted him with our lives. However he has changed. He no longer seems to care for his patients. Now long appointment times are always expected. You wait up front for over an hour only to wait in the back for another hour. Dr. Flannery finally breezes in and gives you maybe 15 seconds of time before he starts filling out paperwork on his laptop. He doesn't listen to you as you attempt to describe your issue. Then he will tell you a story about the president or Ireland (his original home) or something else that has nothing to do with your visit. He may write you a prescription based on that 15 seconds of time you had when he first walked in and it may help. Then he will walk out and not say bye or anything. You can be in mid sentence and he just leaves. Your appointment is over. Overall he used to be wonderful and caring doctor. Now if you have a disagreement (not a fight but basically a queatuon) about your care, he will drop you like a rock and leave you without a doctor. Need a copy of your file, no problem that's a dollar a page! The office staff who were so nice to you yesterday now treat you like you are the worst person in the world, like a criminal. Then when you attempt to find a new doctor and have your notes transferred, now all new physicians don't even want to be bothered with you. You can't get the help you need for a for your life threatening condition. Flannery will see you but not really help. You have no say in your treatment. He will brag about what a great, caring person he is but it's not true. Flannery is only after the money. He runs patients thru his office at 10 minute increments. In my opinion, if you are looking for a good doctor who cares about you and allows you to have a say in your treatment please find someone else even if you have to drive to get to them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
