James Hensarling's Online Review Report Card

I went here hoping to get help with my arthritis. This man is so rude he told me that he wouldn't help me if I didn't go over and get a sleep study done and set up at the hospital for a injection in my back. I didn't have medical insurance at the time. I had paid $500 cash just to get an appointment with him.( what a waste) He told me "Do you think I'm just able to give you a pill?" And he turned around pulled up his shirt and showed me his curved spine. It was a horrible experience. HE IS VERY STRANGE!

The first appointment the dr was almost 4 hours late. He was at lunch when I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Once triaged I was placed in an exam room across from the nurses station and the exam room door was left open. Dr. Hensarling arrived back from lunch and made a call while at the nurses station. The call was a telephone consult with a patient. I was able to hear every part of Dr. Hensarling's side of the conversation. I thought he would get to me net, but instead he made yet another consult cal, and another, and another... He was more than 3 hours late for my first appointment. My second appointment Dr. Hensarling asked how I was and immediately cut me off to say he heard I made a complaint about him and did I want to complain to him. I said I would and explained what he did and that I felt like he did not respect my time and I advised I could hear all the consult calls he made the first time. Dr. Hensarling advised I shouldn't have been able to hear his calls while sitting ing an exam room. I advised the door was open. He then advised he doesn't except our insurance and the dr advised he didn't think we could fix our problem we had with him because he is old school and he hasn't received a pay check in over 2 years. He then made statements about my Med grant from xeljans that came across as a threat to get the grant revoked. I have NEVER experienced a more rude, condescending and intimidating Dr.

Worse experience ever.

You can't get through on the phone. Email correspondence can take days even for just a simple question. Don't get me wrong I like hearing you have a credit on your account, but doing this so long, why can't they charge you the proper amount the first time. I live paycheck to pay check and a credit at their place of business doesn't pay my bills. Even though they filled out the wrong paperwork for a workers claim I was expected to pay the Dr another 35 dollars for doing it again when their office made the error in the first place. This is the 2nd claim, same job, same details, went through the first time, no problem. This most recent time the claim was submitted in mid May, wasn't resolved til mid June. The claim was closed, i had to go through a whole process to get that squared away. Dr Hensarling himself seems very rigid on his treatment plan, he doesn't want to try new things, or take considerations from other studies. He has a rebuttal for every statement you make about the diagnosis, leaving the room abruptly as so he can always be right. They push for a psychologist to continue my care but have yet to find one that's in network that is affordable. When you have a chronic illness just getting a Dr bill paid is quite a hurdle.

I was referred to Dr. Hensarling by another physician. I called Hensarling's office numerous times during a four-day period and left multiple messages seeking to make an appointment. No one bothered to return my calls. I scheduled an appointment with another physician. There is no excuse for poor customer service in a private medical practice. If Dr. Hensarling isn't interested in offering outstanding patient care and customer service to win my business, I will choose a physician who is.

My mother was a patient. The wait time is 2 hours or more. Mom has Alzheimer's and cannot sit for long (they are aware of this). We scheduled an appointment at 1:15 so it would be the first appt after lunch. We arrived at 1:10 and he headed to lunch and would be back in an hour and a half. I rescheduled and they canceled that one they day before. Cannot get anyone on the phone to schedule another appt. Will not return voice mail messages either.

Dr. Henssarling has been my rheumatologist since around 1984. He is kind , he listens, he's caring & efficient. I wouldn't trade him for anyone else. He's the best!!!

He has been my doctor for years I wouldn't change He will listen and explain things to you in a way that you understand w/o treating you like you're stupid I trust him completely, I will let him put shots in my head I always leave his office feeling good
