Dr Rooks is knowledgeable in every aspect of the medical surgical arena. He is a caring professional and I would recommend him to anyone in need of medical attention. He literally saved my life by Immediately performing a resection of my stomach after it ruptured from a bleeding ulcer. I had suffered from stomach ulcers for over 25 years. In 2015 I was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus , had a pet scan and was told that I had pancreatic cancer as well. Saw Dr Rooks, he looked at the data asked questions re: family history and didn't feel that it was pancreatic cancer. Moved aggressively with surgery the next week and saved my life. He is a great surgeon and Mississippi is blessed to have him!
