List of Jason R. Patten's Reviews
Physical needed for work. Very professional, very detailed oriented. He answered all of my questions, went above and beyond to get me on track with the right specialist. I work with physicians. So when I read some of the reviews that have been posted I was shocked these patients have not experienced a bad doctor.
I have had to leave this office because of all of my negative interactions with Dr. Austin’s MA. It began with my first visit when she visibly grumbled when the doctor told her to fax my medications to my mail order company. She was very unprofessional, had a poor work ethic, never answered the phone and never returned calls. Her attitude is poor and she is rude. I had to call 6 times in order to get one referral done and she faxed an insurance referral to the doctor. I developed unrelenting stomach pain and requested a referral to a gastroenterologist. Two weeks later she hadn’t done it and yelled that she was busy with the doctor! For 2 weeks? I am sure that Dr. Austin is unaware of this, as I am certain that he would be upset to hear that his MA was causing his patients so much unnecessary stress.
I saw him cuz i Heard he could help with my chronic back pain. He did and got me started on the write medications but when i asked him to send me to pain management becaused i wanted to get off the vicodin he told me that pain management wuldnt take me cuz i am addicted. i'm tnot and he never sent me for xrays or cat scansw for my chronic back pain just told me to take the meds and i would feel better but i dont' want to be on them forever
Dr Foster should be reported to the SPCA. He treats his patients like animals. He’s a moron. Can’t answer a question without using the word maybe. And his staff can’t answer a phone or call you back. He lies to your face even when you have the pro in front of you. Read the other reviews on this site. I’m not the only unhappy one here.
Very caring to his patient informative and respectful
I love doctor Austin he really cares about his patients and you don't find a lot of doctor's that are like that now a day's.
Dr. Patten spent about 15 seconds checking on his patient. He didn't seem to care about concerns that were expressed, simply stood there smiling and said she was going to be just fine. I was totally unimpressed and even disappointed by Dr. Patten's lack of professionalism and demeanor.
ATWOOD MEDICAL CENTER in JOHNSTON, RI: Dr Austin listened intently to my concerns, and took them seriously. His attentiveness led to a few follow-up visits, additional tests, and a willingness to work toward restoring me to health...100%. Only issue is that the office is VERY busy. Appointments have been relatively easy to get, but call backs may take a day or two. Patience patients!
Nice person, unreliable doctor. Completely unreachable. Takes weeks to get a call back. Better off just making an appointment. Doesn't know how to look up preferred drug lists or specific medications. Very hard to get anything accomplished with him. Called my other doctor and had the problem solved in literally 2 minutes what took him 2 weeks to do. Very unhappy. Would never recommend to anyone.
I have known Jason for a long time and I know that he truly has a passion for helping people. He has truly found his calling in medicine and helping people feel better is something thats really important to him. He is kind down to earth and a really genuine guy. so if you have any illness issue he is my number person to go to if you really want to get better.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
