He told me my heart was fine, despite documented episodes of PVST. He attempted an ablation which was unsuccessful & stopped after a few minutes. He attributed all my symptoms to anxiety & said there was nothing he could for me but didn’t offer any suggestions. My cardiologist said he spoke to Dr Owens about attempting another ablation, which he allegedly declined. With strong encouragement from my Cardiologist, I got a second opinion. That Dr put in a loop recorder, which revealed the underlying problem. Within a few months I needed a dual chamber pacemaker (to correct a 12-second cardiac pause), 2 stents to correct 2 99% blocked coronary arteries (including the LAD) that were revealed thru a heart cath & a Watchmen. I’m so glad I found a different ELP.

I have seen Dr.Owen since 2013! He has definitely been the one dr I can only trust! I have since 2013 had a pacemaker/defibrillator put in and last year I had a battery change!!! Dr.Owen has saved my life! I owe everything to him! I have even followed him to Jackson after he left the gulf coast! Very few personable drs around and Im thankful to have him as my Dr!

Went to Dr Owen because I was having chest pain, he informed me it was not my heart causing the issue. I decided to get a second opinion and ended up having a stent put in due to a blockage in the LAD artery.

I disagree with any negative comments. I think he is a great Doctor and he explained everything to me very well. After my heart was in Afib for nine months straight, and my heart rate was out of control, Dr Owen was able to fix my heart with the right meds and an ablation procedure. I feel so much better now. I recommend Dr Owen to anyone reading this, because I read these comments before Dr Owen helped me.

Not good. After my husband’s surgery he did not come out and speak with me even though he knows I am my husband’ caregiver. When I expressed my disappointment at our follow up visit, he offered nothing but silence. No excuse, no anything.

He tells you what he wants you to know, but doesn't listen to what you are saying. Your concerns are not important. Just do what he says, or else. He should give the patient an opportunity to discuss why they are there.
