My husband (James Caranna)had an appointment with Dr. Mishra yesterday. He has always found her to be a caring and compassionate physician. She has been his neurologist for many years and she is always willing to listen with helpful suggestions. My husband is on a walker and she tries to make everything a little easier for him. He feels very fortunate to have her care.

Dr.Mishra is awsome! Very attentive and great bed side manor

I would like Memorial Hospital to know about my experience with the Medical Records Department. I recently needed some records sent out and Miss, Kate worked on getting everything sent out for me and I so greatly appreciate her a for everything that she did and I don't know if you all still nominate a Daisy Award but if you do, I nominate Miss Kate. Thank You.

Have been waiting in the ER lobby for 6+ hours.... with out being seen.

Friendly staff and caring always willing to help you to right location

I am new in Gulfport. I brought my son here to get checked. We checked in at reception at 8:30pm. We got triaged in minutes. Patients who arrived after us (and are NOT trauma patients) got roomed sooner. Not a single ambulance arrived while we were waiting. After waiting for MORE THAN 3 HOURS to get roomed, my son and I left and went to another ER. I’ve lived in different states and this by far was the worst experience I’ve seen in ER.

I thought my water had broken the other night at 30 weeks pregnant. It was a false alarm thankfully. The nurse that had checked me was super rude and not gentle what so ever. So when she went to test me for amniotic fluid she leaned over me and shoved the Q-tip in and caused me to cry and scream. She didn’t stop to let me breathe or anything. The Q-tip came out covered in blood and she looked at me and said “Well the cervix check is going to be a lot more painful then a Q-tip” while I was crying in pain. The doctor came in and did the amniotic fluid test again and he was very gentle and I didn’t even flinch and then he did the cervix check and that wasn’t painful either. I get home and was screaming in pain everytime I had to pee. I filled the toilet up with blood for four days after that everytime I peed. It would take me an hour at a time to pee (I’m also 30 weeks pregnant) because it hurt so bad and I was scared to use the bathroom. I literally was in shaking pain after I would use the bathroom. The woman who did it was a blonde woman with glasses and I believe her name was Ashley. What she did was very traumatic for me and I pray no one else goes through that. I believe she was careless because one to her I was wasting her time and two I’m a very young mother. Teenage mother in fact. I’m giving 3 stars because it wasn’t the hospitals fault that she was in a bad mood that night and because everyone else was very pleasant to me.

Their ER is the worst disorganized mess. Waiting time are hours long. My daughter was left to wait with severe side pain, vomiting. Was told they would get To her when they get to her. While we watch person after person go ahead of her. Update: she went to Ocher and they fixed her right up. Turned out it was her gallbladder: they diagnosed her and had her surgery done within 3 hrs. She was 4 hrs just in waiting room at memorial. DO BETTER!

My mother has been in the waiting room in severe pain due to back issues which she’s sees a doctor at this facility monthly for. She’s been waiting for 12 hours now and when she ask how much longer the wait will be they threaten her with security…. This place is a joke

I was in the emergency room because my blood pressure was so out of control the attendant position when I got there was amazing and really highly recommend that I stay and get my heart checked out the first nurse I had was amazing then at 4 AM the bottom fell out got the rudest nurse she came flying in the emergency room because there were no rooms and beds she didn’t introduce herself or say anything she had brought the porta potty by my bed and I have serious balance and weakness issues I barely touched her to balance before I sat down and she very rudely said don’t touch me you can’t make me fall or pull me down I said I’m sorry it should be on my chart that I am a fall risk and I was NOT gonna take you down I was just getting my Balance she was so rude and then she started interrogating me about my medication because normally I’m at Ochsner‘s which that’s where I will be in the future believe me!!!! “The ambulance took me to Memorial “made me feel so uncomfortable I started crying she had a terrible attitude, and approach. Never again. There’s muchhhh more don’t have enough room. I did really like my nurses on 6th floor once in room and my heart doctor and all the test procedures went smooth!!! Just don’t go to there ER if you can avoid but sure every day and shift are different…,
